==THE RULES==

These are the official rules of TVS. If you break them, the TVS team has the right to take whatever action they deem necessary, including deletion of your account without warning. The decision of the administrators is final. Information on these decisions is confidential and will not be discussed with anyone other than the parties involved.

===1. Registration & "Multi-ing"===
You are allowed to create one, and ONLY ONE account in TVS. You will not at any time have access to more than one account for whatever reason.

If you suspect someone of being a "Multi" then report them to "mail AT tvsadmin DOT com"

If you elect to delete your account (from the 'Account' page), your details are retained and your account suspended until the end of the current game, when both your details and account are permanently deleted.

Things you MUST NOT do include:

a. Create or register an account for a friend/family member.
b. Take ownership of an account that someone has offered to you.
c. You must never give your personal login details to anyone.
d. You must never allow anyone else to enter your account.

===2. Abusive Language===
You are not allowed to use any kind of abusive language in the game. The definition of an abusive message is simple. If the person receiving the message reports it to the administration then that person has been offended.

a. Depending on the content of the offensive message, you may be warned once or even have your account deleted without warning.
b. Reporting messages that are not offensive is against the rules.
If you receive an abusive message, please report it to help us ensure the abusers are dealt with.

===3. "Bots" & "Managers"===
At NO point do you have any valid reason to be using any other program in conjunction with how TVS is presented to you through your browser.

No program is allowed to have access to your TVS browser. Any tools or programs you use that gives you an added advantage and is not cleared and made available to every player is deemed illegal and therefore cheating.

Having programs or tools to enable mass mailing is also forbidden. Users reported for spamming will be investigated and may have their account deleted.

===4. Divulging Strategic Information===
ALL facilities on this website may be used for strategic planning, including ship comms, forums and Tara's Bar. However, you must NOT disclose the strategic plans of an enemy legion that you have acquired by any means. Therefore, if you have acquired any kind of information regarding when an enemy is going to attack, what their plans are, the identity of their LC, etc, you are not permitted to disclose this information to any other player in the game. Assumptions are of course permissible.

===5. Miscellaneous===
Please remember your netiquette when you use the communications in game. Sending pointless message to "All Friendlies" is the same as spamming and is detrimental to your side as well. Please do NOT do it.

You must not globally publish any kind of external contact details about yourself on the site; this includes email addresses and instant messenger details. All in game communication must be done through the game system.

If you find a loophole or exploit in the game, you must cease using it immediately and report it on the Forum. All moves in TVS are logged so cheaters will eventually be noticed and suspended. Please do the right thing.

Finally, other ways of abusing the game or site not directly covered by the rules, may also be reason enough for deletion of accounts. These rules are created to ensure that everyone can enjoy a fair game and for your protection, where the best player will come out on top, not the best cheater. If everyone sticks to the rules, everyone will benefit from it.
