Name: Boris, obviously!

Age: tremendously old, but still well-muscled & spry ;-)

Location: outer space, obviously!

Playing for how long: 4C (apparently - early 2001?)

Favourite Ship: Microw, 'cept that it should be a single crew & red. Though personally I usually fly a Cloaker for practical/tactical reasons.

Favourite Race: Krills, coz they're just so me! :-) Bors 2nd, coz they were my first, plus the obvious name alliteration ;-)

Your mentor: Tough one - since I tend to argue with authority figures ;-) Learned a lot by example from too many to mention, though I guess that that old horse-botherer, the pilot called Legion, gets top-slot. A fine role-model in every aspect of TVS, from the abuse of alchohol to the most efficient use of Legion News :-)

  • Really* awkward name, mind - eg. do I have to explain for non-players that Legion News is an essential game tool, rather than a personal propoganda sheet for Leggy? But I digress...

Something about yourself: Half-Orc. Left-handed. With wings, btw - a long story. Born of a human mother somewhere to the east of the Misty Mountains; how I came to be flying space-ships is another long story. Suffice to say that nowadays the non-Orcish part is transmogrified into whatever species is presently paying for my services. Except when I'm Krill, ofc, when I just get really *Boris* ;-)

As intelligent readers can already tell, I'm noted for being mouthy, obnoxious & a bit of a git. Surely the inevitable result of mixing a Half-Orc with a classical education (I ate an old man once who'd been classically educated). But on the plus side, I'm the creator & Editor of morale-boosting propoganda-casts for every legion... Sorry! I mean those completely accurate records of events, respected & trusted by all species across the galaxy, the Krill News, Tibran Times, Ajaxian Post & Boraxian Bugle. Also inventor of the TVS Free Gift & the Boraxian-sized Lizard Press.

I have LCed several times, typically with religious efficiency. However, recurring attacks of the RL-disease have often limited my term of office. Amazingly, records indicate that only once (Ks - B18?) have I actually led a Legion to final victory! Ofc, on all those other occassions, alien legions were aided by disease, environmental factors or the gods. Or all three.

As VR, I'm likely best-known for my late-night stints. And for shouting at ppl. As VR, the *two* things for which I'm best-known are my late-night stints & shouting at ppl. Also for my almost fanatical loyalty to LC. As VR, the *three* things for which I'm noted are late-night-stints, shouting at ppl. and almost fanatical loyalty to LC. And for never losing a battle which I choose to fight. As VR, the *four* main things...

Lastly, if this is the iconic definition of Boris, I am the 2nd-greatest killer in TVS. AFAIK, the greatest-ever killer (i.e. the individual player with the most kills) is...er... aka? The pilot I first knew as the_helix had names before & many more since, under which he surely topped my several hundred total - maybe passed one k? But I doubt if any more modern bunny-hunters come close to our tallies, gathered when there were more ships/victims in the game, never mind the inevitably more modern/competitative environment, advent of broadband, etc.

Anyway, the real, final point when talking about myself is to give the *true* version of an old lie. I have been called a bunny-hunter since my earliest days in TVS, though it is simply not in my nature deliberately to persecute the weak. But because I got *loads* of kills, ppl. just assumed... The simple truth is that I was (shock! horror!) playing Another Game when first introduced to TVS. Since they were on different time-cyles & I favoured the other initially (please forgive me!), I'd log-on late to TVS, in which the foolish fashion then was to move early, and simply clean up! BTW, I believe that 4C was especially high-damage, so... Ofc, as a newbie myself, then, nobody was targetting me in the early firing. So it continued, till tactics changed - I *averaged* over 60 kills over my first few Betas. Ofc, I do *love* killing things! :-) It's the raison d'etre of any game, IMO, & certainly why I log onto TVS morning & night - hoping for that so-sweet kill-shot :-) But I'd far rather hook a big fish than waste my worm on a minnow. It offends me that anyone ever believed I'd bother *chasing* rabbits - yet I get the same old canard to this day...
