My history here really starts in another universe. EoC. (bleeeehhhhhh!!! ) I started there in EoC1 where I met a few great people: Shiid, 'adder, Fox, Falcon, Mr. Bombastic and a pilot named Sheikyurbutie (sp?). There were more.. but these guys spring to mind 1st. By-the-by... Sheik had a different TVS name that I never 'officially found out...... :-) ...He prolly had more direct influence on me visiting the TVS site than anyone... but all of those mentioned made it seem like a worthwhile place to be.

If you have ever been on a team with me... you know that I can be a bit ... errrmmm ... verbose at times ;-) . Well, boys and girls ( and blades of grass.. ) THIS is one of those times :-P . Get your hankies out and snuggle up for a long one........

When I 1st visited the TVS site.. I waited a bit before joining... "geez.. these guys are hard-core", I thought :-) . After Eo1 got a bit ..errrmm.. how should I say, while maintaning a G-rating?....... uhhhmmm it got stinky there . I decided to test the waters of TVS under another name. I began with about a week remaining in one of the beta 4's. Nothing much to report from my end... I spent most of that time just seeing what was what. The next B4.. I began playing for keeps under my 'real' moniker. This was the Tycho-Hexxia beta that got crunched before we had a chance to officially win. I was uber-active from the start but relatively quiet. I stayed in the top 15 for most of the game and was embarisingly pleased with myself. I trailed off a bit towards the end..... ( translation=I started sleeping and missing ticks )

...and then I started the next round.....

I should break and let you know that at the time I was orithill. Towards the end of the game, still having never been shot down.... my account began rebelling against my amaturish self-satisfaction ;-) I didn't know it at the time ( having blamed the problem on everything from my ISP to El Nino.... but my account had somehow become corrupted.

... So ... I finished that game in limbo .... and started the next one the same way. About a week ( maybe more ) into the next game, I tried creating a new account. ( SHAZAM! ... the lightening bolt finally hit :-P ) I was loath to take a new name, and the thought of 2 ( yes, count 'em TWO ) active accounts turned my stomach. But it worked. So, I humbly asked Wingee to delete ( kill ) orithill, so that Orith could live.

Since that rebirth, I have had a blast!!! I've been on winning legions, losing legions and everything in-between. I became much more vocal ( to the chagrin of some ) and even more active ( to the joy of the bags under my eyes).Which seemed to translate into being shot down more often than ever ;-) ( go figure :-) ). I've become involved in the innermost plannings of several legions .... and the secret dealings of malcontents within a few :-) . All the while happily losing sleep to play this ungodly simple-yet-complex game of personalities.

NOW WOULD probably be a good time to let those of you who aren't familiar with the shy-unabashed and simple Orith know that I see TVS as the people I've interacted with. I can't really remember a game or situation, without remembering the people I was communicating with at the time. The memories are extremely vivid for me becuase of these individuals..... and thus, my 'Bio' is more of a rememberence of them and their effect on me at the time. [You have been warned! ... more than once ;-) ]

For whatever reason.. I always seemed to trail off at the end of games ( read: I get lazy ) but I've met and interacted with some amazing people. >From dixi-Stile's lovable but self-absorbed-teen-psychosis to Psycho's plain-old-fashioned psychosis ;-) .. love the blades Psycho, and the humor ... don't lose either one girl ;-) >From 'adders fun-loving-f**k the 'man' attitude ( all the while being the 'MAN' himself :-) to the Incredible Hermi's razor sharp wit and... uummm .. other things. Geez, that hadda hurt ;-) ( Houston ... hmmm :-) )... If it wasn't for a little bit of healthy fear of you... and the possibility of the Pointy-Man's wrath... I might say more :-P On to Chopper, 'belle ( :-) ) and Morgy ... 3 of the most incredible ladies I've ever had the pleasure of 'meeting'. Morgy's attitude and strategies are everything I ever hoped to do(be) in TVS. Morgy is one person that most would prolly HATE to have as a boss.. but I would LUV to work with. Chopper seems to be a kindred spirit ...with a bit more ( barely ) brain-cells left than I have, that could both talk AND drink you under the table :-P . And 'belle is... well... 'belle is 'belle :-) ... 'nuff said :-) ...if you don't know her, it's your loss!!!!! If you do, count yourself lucky!!!!!

Who's next????? ... ... Ewok and Llotyhy... I agree and prolly always will :-) ...Ewok stikes me as a young-tough with more than a few good ideas. Llotyhy reminds me of another player with a pointy hat ( ;-) ) ... but with a much deeper desire to be THE BEST ON THE BOARD. Which is not in any way a bad thing Llotyhy. ( and if you make it to the end of this... you'll see why that IS a compliment )

Fox.. you sneaky devil-you ... I can never tell what you're going to do :-) . Falcon ... not a lot of talk between us.. but you always struck me as stand-up and ready to do whatever it takes. Gud... I'm not saying ANYTHING to you that I can't spell... or defend with a Howitzer :-)

Chili and SW .. I don't mean to lump you two together ... but ... there's nothing but smiles from me to you guys :-) . I have great memories of the conversations we've had.... both of you seem to strike the same chord with me: Trustworthy, Fun!!, and ready to lead without hesitation.

SH ... man, there are times that I loved playing with you and times I hated it ... but you SURE made it interesting ( fun ) to play :-) ... by the way, I'm pretty sure Hermi would take the 'hated' path more often than not ;-) scuba... ditto :-) SS .. the name says it all .. she's gone man... she was nothing but 0's and 1's... move on ;-)

SD ( another'S'-name ) the 'Duck' .... don't know where you are, but you were one MEAN LC ;-) Right next to Tycho in my book.... with Legion right behind you guys. SD... seems like a guy I could hoist a few with... if there weren't all that pesky water inbetween our local pubs :-P . Legion=great LC.. that's all I know :-) Tycho= The Best LC I ever had.... period. Blackheart ... always rock-solid tactics.... Tact, well... that's another game altogether isn't it? ;-) ... it's a joke Blackie...... lighten up :-)

Whykt ... I didn't forget you :-) ... just not sure what to say :-) .. You seemed to be the HEART of every team that we played on together :-) You listened when you needed to, spoke up when it counted and made fun of those of us that needed it when the time was right. Thanks!!

Trin and Neo ... joined at the hip in my mind ( hope you are forever :-) ) Trinity... a fair minded soul with a wicked way of staying on top. Always one with the time to talk to a fellow player. Neo... an impatient one with the same wicked penchant for staying above the pack ;-)

Vermi ... Ouch!!! .. damn-it-man!!! You'd think by now glass would be obsolete ;-)

Hinty :-) ... another one that I wouldn't mind bellying up to a bar with. Mean when it's needed and drunk when it counts :-P ... If you piss Hinty-man off... well, just stay out of arm's reach... if you know what's good for you ;-P PIE-guy .. hmmm .. pastry ... what can you say? ... I think you've prolly said enough for everyone ;-) ... overandoverandover. God luv ya..... I still can't ever see my name with 'rogue' beside it :-)

Razor... never on a team with the guy ( that I can remember ) but... man can he hold a grudge :-P ... whether he can admit it to himself or not :-P . Helluva squad leader/member... maybe the best I've ever seen play the game... but Razor, you and everyone else needs to remember, that the game ISN'T about your squad getting the most points or glory... but rather, it's about your TEAM/LEGION winning the last tick ;-) ..and whether you like it or not... your team DOES include those pilots that don't play as well as you do ;-) Antslayer .. or whatever ... you killed Whykt ... bad move my man :-( ( good name though ;-) The "un-named-one" .. not EVEN gonna go there ... my rant would take up more than twice the space I've already wasted ;-) Knight ... you got me ..... ONCE.

Jhyphi, Gordos .. I remember when you guys started :-) .... and a LOT of people have started ( that I can't remember ) since I began playing.........

hmmm???? .. what's that??? .. oh... that Voxie-guy? .... ... well, I guess I should mention him since it IS his website and all..... well... Vox played TVS.... sometimes.....I think?

J/K Vox :-) I don't think Vox and I ever started on the same team... but we sure ended up on the same one alot :-P Through either our own misfortune... or the unlikly skill of a lucky pilot on another team ;-) , I had the fortune of conversing with the aforementioned Dei-ity on several occasions, much to my benefit :-) It's hard for me to pin Vox down. He's at times been the voice of reason in a gallery of chaos.... and at other times... the wild card, ready to break away from any and all constraint that would be imposed. But even though I've seen him ready to bolt... I've never witnessed him, EVER, abandoning his legion... no matter how much he may have wanted to. That says volumes to me!

Boris, I have the utmost respect for your ideas, but not so much admiration for the way you carry them out... I AM sorry we never played on the same side enough to argue the point :-) .. but see my little diatribe(?) to Razor, for my view on things. Helix, prolly a ditto... but who knows, we never carried the same flag enough to tell :-)

Well.... you KNOW there are prolly dozens more ( hundreds, thousands even[apologies to Snaggelepuss] ) that I could ( should ) mention. But.... I'm not gonna :-)

I'm tired now... so I'm going to get right down to the 'gritty'.

Shiid, wherever you may be now... thanks!! I can't say enough about this 'guy' ( ;-) ) If there is one individual in the TVS community that deserves to be REMEMBERED... this is the one. In my (not-so) humble opinion, Shiid has everything it takes to make a great TVS player.... and friend. 'He' has the tactical knowledge to beat anyone in the game... but 'he' often ( well, let's be honest here Shiidsky... 'he' always ;-) ) defers to the mood of the legion. While 'he' knows how to execute the tactics of a Tycho, Legion or a SittingDuck..... the times that 'he' has been my LC, 'he' hasn't had the opportunity to use them. Instead, 'he's' been forced towards 'his' real forte of banding the troops together.... Of keeping an unmercifully outnumbered force of malcontents fighting hard enough to survive.... long enough to see that one glimmer of light all the way down that endless tunnel.

Aside from all that... ( and OH SO MUCH more important ) ... Shiid is just about the most decent 'person' I've ever met online. TVS or no TVS. ... And if you've ever been around while I'm feeling particularly decrepit..... you know just how long that is.

Well, g'night all.... oh yeah...the facts/history of my time spent in TVS..... I played a bunch of games and shot at a lot of stuff.

espy - Grendle - Umphy - Pointy-Man, and whatever else you may be calling yourself these days. What to say? ... You were fun to interact with. That may sound kind of steril for your tastes... but I honestly don't mean it that way.... and I don't think you'll take it wrongly ;-) . I can't say that you made me think more than anyone I've ever met ( that honor goes to my ex and almost ex ;-) ) but you HAVE made me stop and think before I typed.... more than any other individual I've ever met online. You have a unique personality my friend. One that I fervently hope is not entirely manufactured for your web-persona. I know you'll understand my remark. Good luck to you ...stay away from the corn..... and here's to the 'Champions' :-)
