The only organized legions were tibs and bors, bors using the conference room as their private legion chat.

The start was very odd as bors had double the numbers of the other legions, so battle in roids was useless, jax under llotyhy attacked TMC early using bomber fast-level tactic with llotyhy and bengali soon making lv4. tibs constantly attacking the ajax and messed around with some kril, bors jumping around in a pack of well organized cloakers, making point wherever possible. bors had clear lead after first day, but then suddenly went all to sleep, leaving the night to the tibran and ajaxian bombers, who took out the bor scan tower while all the highlevel bors were offline. shortly after that tibs mounted an attack on ajaxus and got it halfway down with 5 bombers from lv2-5, in a 8 hour battle, until finally the party was blown by the bor wolfpack. (hm i cant remember when the ajax scantower went boom but i think it was right before the ajaxus attack). next day saw the tibs taking out the mattas scantower with help from ajax cruiser llothy, an attack on PK a bit later was again blown up by the bors.

From then on i didnt play muh anymore. one thing to remember is a combined kril/bor/ajax atatck on TMC which was repulsed impressivly by some tib cruisers + support. tibs had the lead by far then and could have taken out a planet within some 5-8 hours but bases were getting bigger (scrap limit removed) and was difficult to get the people together. then the server crashed and I didnt bother to login again, although sinister had it working again but then it crashed again and so on.

I first started playing TVS about two years ago, but I never got higher than level 5 due to my lack of dedication and other engagements. Therefore, due to my competitive streak, I was determined that I would put off as much of my work as possible in order to get the top position on this Frantic. I geared myself up for a whole weekend without sleep, and I will now relate what happened.

The game started at an ideal time for me. Having just arrived home, I was ready to start out. I was one of the first people to sign up, and was a Boraxian (this legion had about 10 players extra than the others, which largely contributed to its success) I chose a Shadow, as always and started. At first I thought Wingee had problems and had started another 3 hour game due to a problem with the clock, but soon found out the 15 minute turns still applied. I then hypered to Durius Highlands, and out to Perosis, along with Hero, Tanis, Teras, Roman and Blacky. When we were there, we were confronted by a Krillgorian force of about 5-6, including Valdano and Faldrin. We attacked, and drove them out, but a small number kept returning, enabling us to level up with unprecedented speed. Within a few turns I was the first to reach Level 2, along with the rest in Perosis. We did however notice that BenGali and Lloythy were leveling up fast, and were told that they were attacking the ST. We chose to stay however, as they could only inflict limited damage. Within a few more turns I had reached Level 3, and had lost my number one position to BenGali on the Rankings.

At this stage in the game the Boraxians still had a definite lead, largely due to the experienced players we had and the levels of activity. Through the next couple of hours, I slept, and when I returned I found I had slipped right down the rankings, and that Lloythy was almost at Cruiser level. I was placed as VC (A role I played throughout the game when I was active) and we coordinated a series of bold attacks against the enemy legions. The Tibrans were bombing the Ajaxian HW, and as we were in the Roids we made the decision to help the Ajaxians, largely due to the fact that we were bored, and we felt like breaking our NAP with the Tibs in Ajaxus. We hypered to The Three Suns and debated whether to hyper the current turn or the next, and decided the next turn would be best. When we hypered in we found a large portion of the high level Tibrans, including Faulcon, Treno, Tum, Roxy and Zypher. We fired at Treno, and he retreated badly wounded. Next we shot at Roxy who was offline, and I got the kill shot, making the top of the Kill chart with 13 kills. With the majority of the Tibs in retreat, and taking damage from the PD's, we decided to retreat to Apollo Sector and repair. Throughout the next couple of hours we made a couple of attacks on sectors adjacent to HW's but achieved only minor success. As I had to sleep I activated Vacation mode and moved into the Roids, then left. Bad mistake, as I took damage whilst in the Roids and I lost my All-combat Lvl 4 Shadow. The next day and the following there were more attacks and I managed to gain a few more kills and reach a 22k score, but the level of actives was taking its toll on our Legion and the others, and the bases were becoming increasingly large with all the scrap piled on them. I decided to stop playing on the Tuesday, and soon found out the game was riddled with Server crashes, which resulted in a decision by Wingee to end the game, and declare a draw. The Frantic was fun, and I met lots of new people and enjoyed the game, but I think I will stick to the 3 hour games in future.
