Greetings one and all, fellow readers, and future writers. You are one of an exclusive fellowship, of the vastly superior Ajaxians.
We are forming up for our first major foray into Boraxian space- the jump into DH is planned for tick 9, as late as possible. Get to dragor as fast as possible, if your not already there.
In other news, the search for the best possible first LC is underway- potential candidates showing what they can do, and experienced leaders suffering what can best be described as the screaming jeebies at the idea of command,
Volunteers have so far included pilots such as:
Scubasteve
Robestrobe
Zzero, .......
..are amongst the most vocal candidates. Votes wont be counted for a few turns yet, so place your vote.. remember, we can always force someone to become LC if their that good.. we can at least try!
Tune in for battle, socail, and political news, on the only Ajaxian news reel that hasn't had its reporters executed - The ajaxian Inquisition!
Battle Began In DH

In a stunning display of well timed jumping, the ajaxians were off to a promising start - 11 ships jumping to DH in turn 10, all within the last 20 minutes of the tick. Bor Pilots were suprised sleeping in Dh, though an advantage in numbers belonged to them.
Killing began with Blacky23, followed on by the killing (eventually) of Hermione, before the end of tick 11.
There was however, one casulty - the leading pilot of the incursion into Boraxian Space- brave bomber Voxdei.
In tick 12, Bor forces have been further reinforced to the number of 22... against our now 12 ships.
A difficult decision must be made- will we fall back in tick 13, to dragor, and lure the bors... Or do we wait for sufficent forces to miraculously appear, to fight the fight in DH, as ajaxian pilots finish their cups of Klah and get off the ground of ajaxus, into their shiny little ships?
We await the news of High command.. the secret council.
In related news, Vet Scubasteve seems certain to gain the prominant position as LC- being the only vet insane enough to volunteer.
FLEET LEAVES DURIUS HIGHLANDS

A Good Omen?
Following the battle in Durius Highlands yesterday the Ajaxian Grand Fleet returned to Dragor in good order. Although at first glance appearing to be a defeat for our brave boys in blue, the battle in Durius Highlands had some good signs for the future. Casualties were roughly even, despite the superior Boraxian numbers, and the good timing of the initial jump into Durius suggests that once the planned ramping-up of the firepower of the Grand Fleet is completed, we should have a flexible, fast-moving set of pilots to fly the ships.
In other news, Scubasteve was confirmed today as the new Ajaxian Legion Commander. On hearing the news, pilot Chilidog commented "I think he's going to be a great LC - if anyone stabs him in the back then may their thrusters fail when they need it most. Scubasteve has come out of semi-retirement to accept the post, and is expected to perform well. Critics have pointed out that a tendency to be distracted by the collecting of small frogs may detract from his performance, but this reporter thinks that if he can bring those obsessive tendencies to bear on his new post then the legion will be well served.
In Brief
Patrons at Taras Bar in Aquarious were confused by a brief shower of mechanical parts. This was believed to be the remains of a Krilgorian Microw Fighter, destroyed in the battle in the sector. Tara commented: "Boraxian Leaf Tea is ten credits". Quite
Strange flashing lights were observed in the sky over Tibrar yesterday. A new religion has sprung up already and the Tibrans are enthusiastically butchering each other in a holy war. Long may this continue, says this reporter.
Krils are Friends, Not Food

After having lost a number of battles with the ever growing Boraxians, our flighty forces opted for a different aproach towards gaining experience on the battlefield.
Having newly established alliances with the Krilgorians and their eager leader Llotyhy, the Ajaxians took on a front in the Tibran Mining Colony. The Tibs lasted for quite some time, but the Krils and Jax were pouring in by the dozens and the numbers were far too great for the Tibs to stand a chance. After losing many of their best pilots, the Tibrans left the tower in the hands of the Krils and Jax. Chilidog was heard to comment "if I can't get the final blow on Star City, I'll at least get it here." This baffled our young ignorant reporter, but he soon heard the disappointing news.
Tragedy in Star City
The Boraxians took full advantage of having been left on their own and went to the nearest undefended target... Star City. After blowing away many of our homes and workplaces, they finally took away our magnificent tower which used to stand right in the center of the casino ridden city. A loss which we will all take to heart. Never again will this reporter be able to see what is happening beyond that in front of his own face. Those filthy Piss Avengers will surely pay for their crime... eventually.
In Our Near Future
Not too many know what is in plan for our brave pilots. That will surely be left in the hands of our wise yet sporatic leader scubasteve. We do however know that the Bors are still wandering around the ruins of Star City and the Tibs were en route to visit the scan tower in Mattas Head.
Best of luck all you brave pilots, may you fight hard, live long, and may your alarm clock always work to your advantage.
Shock, Horror, and A nasty smell in Ajaxus!

This reporter recently had a very pleasant vacation on the outer rim, having left the office in the capable hands of her fellow reporters, for personal reasons.
(Read the sensational insider scoop on one of ajaxus's top Psychiatric wards on the outer rim, next week, in Gossip!the new magazine for nosy pilots)
On her return, idly flicking incoming scans, she was astonished to see incoming bors... in rather daunting numbers.
Ajaxian high command and the general public being aware of the incursion- though not its numbers, were soon on the case. With pilots scrambling from their holiday villa's on the outer rim, pilots were soon on their way. meanwhile, the initial jump into Ajaxus by the bors, had already outnumbered the brave, and somewhat sleepy ajaxians.
With SF_Riva being lost in tick 58, reppers struggled to save the next victim of the bors... no less a personage than Voxdei, who valiantly lost his ship while asleep. pity.
It looked bleak for Ajaxians- Their planet had already lost 15 k, and they had already lost 2 pilots... to the bors None.
Then, in a stunning and suprise move, in tick 61, after killing Vox in tick 60, the Bors began hypering out- a magnificant jump of 36 occured, leaving behind only 12 stragglers. Truly the Bors are a Force to be reckoned with.

With the Bors leaving behind 12 ships, the Ajaxians kindly began to return the stranded bor pilots. NCL99 and Rhyryn have been returned thus far, with plans for the safe return of pilots Nenna and Se7en underway.
Ungrateful pilots Treno, and several others, chose to return under their own steam. Ajaxians will be especially eager to aid them, when they next encounter the yellow bellied lizards.

Jax Ships Hurt Bors
- Author: Cyklown
- Posted: 21 February 2004 9:27
It has been discovered that Ajaxian ships seem to do a quite pleasantly large degree of damage to Boroxian vessels. This was origionally attributed to Boroxian skill focuses, but new evidence has attributed this increase in pain dealt to those amphibiod unmentionables may be due to an oversensitive sense of smell.
It has been a long set of ticks, fraught with peril, violence, warop-speeds and absolute lack of showers. Our ships were not built with prevention of various hygene hazards in mind, and the weak and quite frankly oversensitive Boraxian just can't handle the thought of getting within range of us. Our rugged and tireless forces overpower the enemy on ALL fronts, and we should never forget it.
In related news, a new breakthrough in sweatsock technology is expected to greatly enhance our bomber fleet and deal with the biohazard faced by fair Ajaxus due to contaminant buildup. More on this as it is released.

Star City

The night sky over Star City was suddenly and unexpectedly turned to day last night as a major battle unfolded overhead. The battle was still raging as the sun rose this morning.
There has been much speculation and excitement, particularly among the tourists who have flocked to the area to gaze in wonderment at the ruins of our scan tower, which as you know doubt know, was demolished a few days ago by the Boraxian Fleet.
According to our sources in the Admiralty, this has been a battle long in the planning; a cunning strategy, conceived in the mind of the inscrutable Fleet Admiral Scubasteve and brilliantly executed by Admiral Vintage and others. It began yesterday evening when a bold foray by elements of the Imperial Ajaxian Fleet was able to shatter the Boraxian line at Dragor, leaving the pride of the Boraxian fleet, along with many of their Tibran allies, isolated and cut off from reinforcements. The boys in blue then executed a perfectl-coordinated left turn and bore down on Star City. At the same time, another contingent of fighters jumped out of Ajaxus. The resulting pincer movement left of the Boraxians, long accustomed to being the aggressors, suddenly caught between the hammer and the anvil.
The battle rages on as we speak, though with more reinforcements arriving by the hour, the battle turns more and more in our favor. Admiral Defeatious has assumed command of the combined Ajaxian Fleet, which is any currently engaged in surgically taking out the enemy with combined firepower. He has described the current state of affairs as "surround them and pound them", and looks forward to welcoming our fallen enemies with the ceremonial Ajaxian noogie of shame, administering the "Ajax Cleans Best" tattoo, and sending them home for a well earned rest.
Up next; an exclusive interview with Admiral EwokDude, who has come in to the studio to talk frankly about Boraxians, Tibrans and his alarm clock. All this coming up right after the break...

On To The Offensive
- Author: Zzero
- Posted: 23 February 2004 4:20
The tension is thick enough to cut with a knife as the glorious ajaxian fleet prepairs to go on the offensive for the first time in the war. We have been oppressed and beat back since early on, but we have rallied and now have forcefully removed all enemies from our beloved home land and the surrounding sectors with a vengence. most recently the fleet routed the tibrans occupying star city, sending them limping to CT6.
New plans from command just came through that the fleet is to follow the tibs and destroy them utterly at CT6, so now the fleet waits, doing repairs and passing time before the jump, only a few hours away now. Spirits are high since for the first time we find ourselves not fighting a desperate defence, but that doesn't mean the upcoming battle will be easy, some many of the fleet may not coming home.

FLEET ENGAGED NEAR BORDERS
- Author: VoxDei
- Posted: 25 February 2004 0:39
Sources within the navy yesterday reported a setback in CT6. The Grand Fleet was repeatedly forced to withdraw to a stronger position in Star City following casualties and enemy reinforcements. However, since this withdrawal the Ajaxian defences in Star City have held firm, despite the Tibrans pouring into the sector.
Since the invasion of Star City, the battle has been delicately poised. The turning point is believed to have arrived in just the last few minutes, when a superb display of fire discipline by our brave troops resulted in one of the enemy's heaviest hitters, the class 5 cloaker ANThology, being destroyed while his power core was recharging following an attack. Although the fleet didn't quite manage to destroy his ship before his power-core recharged, class 3 fighter pilots Refunk and EwokDude, defying personal risk, zeroed in on the stricken cloaker and destroyed it while the cloak was activating. It remains to be seen if these pilots will have to pay for their actions with their lives given their now-discharged power cores, the next few hours will be crucial.
Additionally, the Tibrans' main target, class 4 fighter pilot Haates, was kept alive following tireless work by the Ajaxian repair fleet. Although the shields on Haates' ship are reported to have all but collapsed, the repairers did just enough to enable him to limp to the stargate. Class 5 repairer pilot Pirate, who was withdrawing from the sector anyway for necesarry if badly-timed maintenance work, will meet him in Ajaxus to assist in his repairs.

Once Around the Galaxy

- Posted: 2 March 2004 3:38
The Grand Ajaxian fleet continues its "Once Around the Galaxy" grand tour with a visit to the Durius Highlands, just a hop, a skip and a jump from Home Sweet Home.
The tour started inauspiciously enough with what appears to have been a communications blunder, resulting in fifteen of Ajax's finest jumping into a heavily-contested Star City three days ago.
While the liberation of our neighbouring system - which had been infested with a significant contingent of the Tibran Fleet - had been on the cards for some time now, the exact timing of the invasion was naturally a closely-guarded miitary secret. It now appears that it might have been a little too closely guarded, as over half of the fleet either misunderstood the orders or were unsure of their meaning. According to one high-ranking source "what we had here was a rigidly defined area of doubt and uncertainty".
It now appears that the fifteen ships that first made the jump found themselves engaged against numerically superior Tibran forces. However, that situation did not prevail for long, as reinforcements soon headed to the area to even the score, and before long the Tibrans were being handed their skrotnigzs (don't ask) on a plate.
This campaign served as a shot in the arm to the newly-minted Fleet Admiral GoatHammer, who celebrated by hitting the big red button clearly labelled SELF-DESCTRUCT HOME BASE", by accident, or so the official spokesbeings tell us. Fortunately the Self-Destruction of Ajaxus was handily vetoed and life went on. However, the current whereabouts of Fleet Admiral GoatHammer remains a mystery, and rumours abound. One story widesly circulated is that he may have stepped down over the self-destruct debacle, but the Admiralty has made no comment, save that they will "Neither conform nor deny that Fleet Admiral GoatHammer is somewhere in the Galaxy at the present time".
The Grand fleet then started down the western spiral arm of the galaxy, sweeping through the Tibran Mining colony and heading on to Acrador , where they stopped for refreshments, sightseeing and a little shopping before all piling back on the bus and heading to Mattas Head, the Destination Du Jour, where they stopped to smell the flowers - then eat them. They also confabulated with our Allies of the moment, (the Krils, in case you were wondering), and waited for the stragglers who had missed the bus to catch up before visiting the ruins of Perosis.
There weren't any, so they made some and left for DH, where they are expected to have a little fun before returning home soon.
With wars and rumours of wars emanating out of Star City, their return won't be a moment too soon. Fortunately, thanks to sterling leadership by Admirals VoxDei, Defeatious and others, the fleet that returns will not be the fleet that left. "We left with boys, we returned with men" said a grim-faced Admiral Defeatious. "Tensions are high", he continued, "but so is morale."
Stay tuned for more news as it becomes available.
TRAITOR!

--- LC Indicted for Treason ---
A spokesman for the Ajaxian high command has just confirmed that Legion Commander Goathammer was this morning indicted by the Supreme Court on a charge of high treason. In the early hours of this morning, Goathammer is believed to have activated the base self-destruct sequence, issued orders for the disbanding of all Ajaxian squadrons, attempted to destroy peaceful relations with the Krilgorians and then escaped in his repairship.
Military police are in pursuit of the miscreant, and this publication regards it as the duty of all patriotic Ajaxians to immediately notify the police of any information they might have as to the whereabouts of the traitor. While our laws normally forbid police brutality, there is a specific exception to this in cases of treason, and Goathammer can expect a painful lesson when he is caught.
Admiral Defeatious, who was in any case due to replace Goathammer as Legion Commander, has been sworn into office as replacement. He has vowed to kill anything that even smells like a goat for the next three weeks.

Reports have reached us that the pride of the Ajaxian Grand Fleet has arrived at the Tibrans' homeworld and has commenced the long-awaited planetary bombardment of Tibrar. Reports are sketchy at the moment, but it looks like a sizeable ship flotilla arrived there some hours ago and the bombing is already underway.
Sources at the Admiralty are tight-lipped, aside from one fellow who was quotesd as saying "Mmmm... green tibbies... yum!", though he was seen to be licking his lips and drooling when he said this.
The Tibrans are not sitting still though. At least one of our ships has been lost; the pilot has been returned to HQ as per the articles of war, and is back in action. He was not available for comment.
In other news, a lone Boraxian Cruiser has showed up right here on our doorstep here at Ajaxus Prime. They have not opened fire on other ships or our planetary grid. In fact, they have not done anything. They are apparently just sitting there. It has been speculated that they may have arrived by means of a random hypergate, but that has not been confirmed. Ajaxians in the area are urged to give our befuddled enemy a warm welcome and assist them homewards by the most convenient means. Author: Vintage :: Posted: 7 March 2004 23:36
Mighty Bors caught on camera helping Tibs win a battle they were winning... It's all true, Mighty Bors (whom no Legion should fight alone unless they want their asses whipped) have officially announced their Nap with the Tibs, ofc we weren't fooled with the "we're not Nap'd" campaign or the "We'll win this beta without the aid of any other Legion" campaign or the "we'd never Nap, Naps Suck" propaganda campaign...
This evidence was brought to you as hard facts not just intelligence. Intelligence sources had of course logged this behaviour as soon as it had begun, taken from Ajaxian archives: "We've been able to confirm an agreement with the Bors and Tibs. This agreement falls into the category of you stick to your side of the map and we'll stick to ours, if we need to enter your airspace we will discuss objectives prior to entry. Scans will also be included in the arrangement, please refer to clause IX for the procedure"
Hapiface: "The wars were going just fine when it was one on one"
Spot me a U-turn... Election Campaign Pledge Policy Broken, as the opposition, we call for a resignation!
TumNarDok: "NAPs are lame ...!... Training Camps are lame"
Senior Bor Pilot advice was shunned, will Tum go it alone?
Nap & Training camp Intelligence "Colonello (Cloaked Bor in Mok) shot Dangermouse (Tib Repper in Mok) with a pickup... Happy (Bor Lvl 5) remained in Mok after Bors retreated (after the Kril Massacre) offering 1.5K of shields and heaps of points to the Tibs"
Ajaxian Council Members are now considering using "Intelligence Sources" as hard evidence due to the consistent accuracy of such information. They're currently attempting to decipher the true meaning behind this conversation:
Pilot Orith: "Our only true enemy is the Nap, how do we search and destroy these arrangements?"
Hapiface: "We could use the Forum to slander Nap pilots"
Orith: "M'aam, forgive me for speaking out of turn, but, are you sure that will work?"
Hapiface: "Yes Mr. Orith, or the only way to ensure that a Tri-Nap is not formed against us, would be to strengthen our agreement with the Tibs into a full blown Nap. We'll only allow the Tibs to grow enough for it to be advantageous to us, not them"
Orith: "Yes, Ms. Hapi, we all lurve ya" Author: D@rio :: Posted: 9 March 2004 21:25

In what has been described as a "shocking screw-up", the Ajaxian Fleet - no longer "Royal", "Grand" or "Mighty", took a pounding at the hands of a vastly superor Boraxian Fleet in the Apollo Sector.
The path to disaster started at the end of the last assault on Ajaxus when Fleet Admiral Defeatious ordered all available ships to the Apollo Sector to hound the Bors out of our system. This sound strategy started going awry when less than the expected number of ships actually made the jump to Apollo.
Defeatious himself was there, sporting a shiny new Carrier - the first and so far the only one in the Ajaxian fleet. What was thought to be a retreat by the Bors turned out to be a surprisingly organized tactical withdrawal and regrouping at Apollo. To quote a source in the Admiralty who refused to be named, "Instead of finding the remnants of a retreating fleet in disarray, we blundered into a phalanx of Boraxian Cruisers in wall formation."
Things went from bad to worse when many of the pilots chose to go off duty just as the battle was getting underway. Many sought refuge aboard the Carrier, expecting a free ride back to Ajaxus if things went badly.
A lack of orders from the Fleet Admiral, together with conflicting orders from field commanders allowed our enemies to press the advantage.
With the carrier under heavy fire and apparently unable to communicate, several commanders issued the order to retreat, but for those with depleted power cores it was too late. Things started going horribly wrong as the Boraxians opened fire en masse, and Defeatious' Carrier, after taking hits to shield generators and engines, was destroyed, along with the ships that were aboard.
The Boraxians then opened fire on those still trapped in the system and unable to escape to safety.any ships were destroyed in the carnage that followed. In the words of one of the pilots whose ship was lost; "No matter what spin you put on it, this was a disaster. We've lost our only carrier and a good chunk of our fleet. They definitely handed our hats to us today."
And yet there is hope - the remnant of the fleet is returning to Ajaxus, where it is digging in and preparing for what will almost certainly be another onslaught right here in Ajaxus.
Watch the skies...

We interrupt this broadcast for a news flash.
We are receiving preliminary reports that indicate that the Royal Ajaxian Fleet has just commenced the planetary bombardment of Boraxus. This assault upon the stronghold of our arch-enemies was not scheduled for some turns, but apparently the admiralty has received intelligence that has triggered the invasion.
According to our sources, it was generally suspected that the bulk of the Boraxian fleet was stationed at their home base, which would have made a direct assault effectively impossible. However, it appears that a loan pilot took a random hypergate that landed him, of all places, at Boraxus - the most dangerous sector in the galaxy.
Once there, he transmitted the contents of his scanner logs and resigned himself to a quick but incandescent death. Lucky for him, the Boraxian fleet was not at home, and he was able to hyperspace out of the area after taking heavy damage inflicted by the Planetary Defence System and some of the ships that were still stationed there.
"That was some piece of flying - it was either one of the bravest or one of the stupidest things I've ever seen", said a high-ranking Admiral upon receiving this news. "Perhaps a little of both" said another. Whether the flying was brave, stupid or both, the intelligence that was received was enough to convince the High Command to issue the much-anticipated attack orders.

The night sky over Ajaxus was turned to bright daylight for a few seconds early this morning as a heavily armed battlefleet dropped out of hyperspace above our Homeworld.
Fortunately the Fleet in question turned out to be ours - a large contingent of the Royal Ajaxian Star Fleet, to be exact, returning from a spectacularly successful raid on the Boraxian Homeworld.
As the Fleet gathered over Ajaxus yesterday afternoon, we were expecting them to dig in for yet another defense of our Homeworld. Many were surprised, however when the entire active contingent of the Fleet simultaneously went into hyperspace. It is now speculated that they were awaiting the opening of a timed wormhole that would take them directly to the Homeworld of our archenemies. According to reports that are reaching us, our boys dropped out of hyperspace above a relatively undefended Boraxus. Where, according to our sources in the admiralty "We caught 'em with their pants down and proceeded to give the planet and its defenders a darned good hammering", before returning to Ajaxus via another direct wormhole in the wee small hours of the morning.
We are informed that the admiralty is "ecstatic" at the success of this raid. In spite of a smaller-than-expected turnout of active ships participating in the raid, it appears that there were no casualties. Much of the credit for such a daring maneuver goes to our new Legion Commander, Fleet Admiral EwokDude, who in turn places much of the credit upon the bravery of "our boys" and the high quality intel that has been received. "While the other legion switch and prevaricated, our boys went in and did the job - my only disappointment is that more ships did not join the party" he is rumored to have said.
This latest development has been a major shot in the arm to a legion that has been on the defensive for far too long. As we speak, much of our Fleet is heading for the asteroids, where we will be joining with out allies Du Jour, the Tibrans and the Krilgorians, in the noble task of knocking the proverbial seven Bells out of the Boraxian fleet. -== Ajaxian Pilots Invade Boraxus ==-
Our mighty Ajaxian fleet went to Boraxus yesterday in an attempt to rally the troops after the Boraxians laid seige to their homeworld for some time and then disappeared mysteriously leaving our Royal Navy to sit and wander around trying to find ways to rebuild.
The attack began when Lieutenant Commander Gorshak bravely flew into Boraxus to see the sights and hopefully not anger the local savages who did not enjoy being awoken from their hibernation patterns. Upon noticing the fields of ships lying unprotected beyond that of the Planetary Defence System, he called upon the legion to come visit while the Bors were jumping in and out of PK.
The attack was an astonishing success, much like the last trip had been. It ended with the slimy Tibs coming to see what would happen and teaching the Ajaxians their technologies and showing them the weaker points of the Boraxian defense. Upon this discovery, the Ajaxians began to hurl their ships into the planet in an attempt to bring the planet down.
The attack had to be called short, however, due to the Boraxians apparent lack of interest in killing Planet Krilgore.
Some of the pilots who participated in the attack supposedly speculated whether this attack was just an attempt for the Fleet Commander of the Ajaxian Navy, EwokDude, to earn more stripes in his bomber and test out it's capabilities. Whether or not these rumors are true has yet to be proven.
-== Missing Ajaxian Pilots found Speaking Krilgorian ==-
Pilots ChiliDog and Pirate were lost soon after the last attack on Ajaxus and were heard over comms saying Krilgorian phrases which apparently translated to "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries" What this means and how it came about have scientists speculating. Did they somehow change race and become Krilgorian? Nobody knows...

Anti-war demonstrators were found dead last weekend apparently after they refused to move out of the way of a rabid cow. They were heard to say "it just wouldn't be natural for us to get out of the way."
