Boraxian Beleaguered into Battle

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 23 August 2003 10:27

Just as life was getting back to normal for the Boraxian life forms the all to familiar sounds of sirens began to fill the airwaves as pilots scampered to their flight deck awaiting to be assigned a new ship. This is one of the most important steps when entering a battle ground. A legion must be equipped with the proper amount of each ship to win a war. It is still very early in the call to battle and some pilots are not listed yet but the make up of the Boraxian fleet is looking very strong. We still need a few more repair ships to report for duty but here are the numbers so far.

Bors Krills Tibs Jax
cloakers 11 11 14 12
bombers 11 6 9 5
fighters 5 11 4 8
repairship 5 3 6 4

With all new battles we are faced with electing a Legion Commander. So far we have Pilot Ruinz who is offering to take the job but states he has missed the last few battles and would rather wait until he is sure he can carry out the task. There are many who decline the job. A winning Legion not only needs a sound fleet it is essential they have a strong leader. One who can make decisions, keep lines of communications open with other legions, use the input of council members to make the right moves against the bad guys. Who is up for this demanding job?

Boraxian Fleet split in battle

  • Author: Hapiface

With bombers in Perosis, and a mixture of fighters and bombers in Orbital the skilled pilots in Orbital were able to take down the #1 pilot ECVEJ (krill bad guy). This was a big kill for the Boraxian Legion everyone knows you can’t let the bad guys get to far ahead . Sources report that Pilot Voxdei gave ECVEJ a free ride home. Good work to all who played a part in that.

Meanwhile in Perosis we were not so successful. Sleeping bombers woke up to a mini Krill blob of cloakers and fighters who were out for revenge and took it on Pilot Llotyhy and taking Pilot Kalamajka’s shields to amber and Pilot Lapoor’s to red. Retreat to DH was the only option here.

With 10 ships in Orbital and 5 in DH to draw the Krill in so the fighters could take out the stragglers left behind in Perosis. So far the Krill have not taken the bait. We will see what morning brings.

Only two ticks left to cast your vote for LC. A new (scan Muppet) has thrown his hat in to the ring. Pilot Sight has offered his strings to be pulled by the counsel. Pilot Ruinz has an interest and Pilot porkchophill wants to be helpful. Cast your vote for LC.

Lack of Cooperation sends Bors Fleeing...

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 25 August 2003 17:43

Orders were issued and it was clear what the LC wanted to accomplish in Perosis. But for some unknown reason only a dozen pilots made the jump to Perosis forcing the mission to be aborted.

Can the Boraxian Legion gain the pilot cooperation needed to be successful in battles? All new Legions have to go through a training mode to learn to jump, fire, and retreat as a well choreographed Legion. Without the cooperation of all the pilots the legion will not be able to survive. Once word gets out that the Boraxian Legion is unable to make simple jumps together they will be attacked from all sides as easy points.

What good is high level ships if they don’t join the blob for battles? The battle in DH was a draw. The Boraxian legion finally had the numbers to take control but lack of the simple act of following the target list lead to many krill pilots escaping the sector. The Krill clearly can follow a target list and the results were dead Boraxian ships .

One can only hope the Boraxian Legion can pull together and regain the coordination and fire discipline needed to win.

Patience pays off for Boraxian Legion

With Commander TumNarDok calling all ships to DH and forcing the over confident Krill legion to make the jump, turned in to a feeding frenzy for the starved Boraxian pilots. It the first five minutes two top krill bombers were dead and another was able to escape. The stunned krill cloaker ships could do nothing but watch and hold moves only to retreat and leave five ships to be devoured in the following tick. The Boraxian Legion lost no ships gained several level 2 and 3 ships and took the lead for the first time.

With the change of power from the Krills to the Bors also comes a change in leadership for the Bors. Who will it be? Will they be able to keep the momentum Commander TumNakDok has started? Will the rebel pilots stop jumping to their deaths against orders?

FLY TO PEROSIS..

After many ticks of boredom in Durius the comander came back from the private quaters filled with energy and yelled: "FLY TO PEROSIS" so the brave pilot went to thier ships while the commander went to sleep again. 17 brave pilots made the jump in time but the commander ? I came back from his private quaters abit tolate but gave out the targets.

Guderian a Krill in an evil repair ship should die fast while his engines were cold.

While he tried to make the jump the ship blew up and Guderian went back to Krill homeworld.

The next target should be Skyfire. He had tried to cover his ship with alot of decoyships but we found the right one but lacked the fire power to kill him before he jumped out back to a safer place.

All from the front for now. Seems like the Krills dont even fire back. Can that be true !!!

Read about it here later.

First of all Congrats to everyone we did an excelant job against the Krills. So good that the Tibs, Jax and the remnants of the Krills have formed an alliance against us.

Though their threat is great there is no need to fear they combined power for we are strong but more importantly we are disciplined and cunning.Their feeble alliance can not harm/destroy us we will plan their demise one by one.

At this very important time we must continue our discipline by following orders from our leader. While himself and the council members are already formulating a cunning plan to acheive victory against our enemies.

In the skies of Dragor, history was made this tick.

Although It is still far to early to say whether any boraxian ships will be lost this tick, all who made the jump, are of course, prepared for any and every eventualality.

The decision was made to Fire early, as much firepower as possible, before their shots could be used, or flee. Lefty guns, Samsonite, and the original Black sheep, Syrrah, were killed within the first 15 minutes.

We await to see the ajaxians reaction- will they flee, and stand and fight?

DRAGOR, TURN 68

The expected Boraxian assault on the Ajaxian stronghold of Star City appears not to have jumped off today, with Legion Commander Sight issuing the order to stand down from jump readiness about mid-day.

Sources close to the Boraxian Commander suggest that safety checks immediately prior to jumping off for a harder battle in Star City revealed a far greater degree of degredation than suspected in many shields, hulls, and onboard systems. Making matters worse is the unstable nature of the Dragor system, with unexpected anomalies causing yet further damage to much of the fleet.

When attempting to approach Legion Commander Sight and several Council Members for comment on the status of the fleet, this reporter received only hostile stares and several rude gestures. Amongst the rank and file pilots, however, this delay has been greeted with a near manic giddiness. Coming at the end of a string of resounding victories, and on the verge of an assault to which most military analysts seem comfortable on the outcome of, the delay has been used by many to, in the words of a lampshade clad pilot assumed to be Ruinz, "PAAAAARTYYYY".

Star City, August 1st

Dear sir,

I am writing to raise the issue of the disgraceful treatment of our war casualties by the government and your publication. Having sacrificed my ship to the greater good of the Boraxian cause, I find I am packed off home, dumped in a rickety old bucket of bolts, and told I now rank lower than the scum floating in my water-cooler. I feel that such treatment of those like me who have made the ultimate sacrifice is disgraceful - we should be accorded the honour we deserve and sent back into battle in brand-new ships.

Dear Now-2nd-Sub-Private-in-charge-of-toilet-cleaning VoxDei,

We have forwarded your letter to BFC (Boraxian Fleet Commander) but received no replay so far. Personally, we are sorry for your loss however we all know rules are rules. Even the captain of the ultimate cruiser has to receive the same treatment as you once his ship get destroyed. So please accept our condolence and continue your glorious fight for Boraxian people. We believe you will become a general of Boraxian Fleet once again in no time.

By the way, there seems to be something wrong with the date of your letter.

  • Posted: 4 September 2003 6:23

Restless pilots are amazed when lone cloaker pilot Tribune shows up on incoming scans with amber shields and wearing pink tights. When ask why the change in uniform Pilot Tribune is quoted to say"It's not only hightech, it provides excellent support! It feels as if I'm wearing nothing at all when I fight!! 4 out of every 5 pilots recommends it! The other legions will be laughing at you so hard that they'll just stop in their tracks and die! It's our new secret weapon! Supplies are limited, so get yours now!!"

It is clear that the lack of real battle action has affected the pilots in ways we never thought possible.

For the sake of the legion we need to shoot something and quick. This is what the Repairships have to say about the new fashion statement: Turn: 103 Sent By: thebull Sent To: All Friendlies Subject: I WILL NOT REPAIR ANOTHER PERSON WITH PINK TIGHTS ON! they are way to slippery!

The Jax are still in a coma from the experience.

PINK TIGHTS..

  • Author: tribune

In a stunning display of gallantry never before seen by any other legion, a fleet of pink-tight wearing pilots fearlessly jumped into the brunt of an enemy Ajax armada poised in orbital.

The Ajax were so blinded by the flashes of pink that they did not know what to do, panicked, and fled to anywhere they did not see the horrid pink tights. David was reported to have been laughing so hard that he did not see the flashes of pink turn into flashes of yellow lasers, then into flashes of his blue hull fragments scattered half way across the sector.

The Boraxian Fleet Command, upon hearing the great success that the pink tights were having, formally declared today that they were now to be standard issue for all Boraxian pilots!!

In an official statement, a high-ranking Boraxian official said: "Not only are the pink tights good fashion, but the high-maneuverability and roominess makes it a must have for any serious pilot!" (note: not an official quote)

So don't delay, act now! Supplies are running out!!

Boraxian LC is threatened by New Terrorist Group

The new J.D.S, or, formally known as the "We want to Join Dream's Squadron" Fan-Squadron, Last night requested formally that It was allowed to be formally joined to its hero's, in its previous position of membership.

A mutinous Crazygirl, reportedly found her place long dissapeared, and Other pilots sitting in her quarters, when she returned from a short break for relaxation purposes.

The Boraxian Bugle gained a short interview with the Crazy Lady, and this is what she said!

"This squad will remain until I get what I want from the evil, and regrettedly Absent Sight. All members must, in their secret heart of hearts, wish to be a cloaker... even if their in a repairship They must also be willing to go out into the world of TVS, and perform Terrorist action.

For we are the .J.D.S. of the Boraxian Chapter.

The threat? : We shall ferment discord against the LC, and be generally sulky in nature if he isn't nice to us this squad will also be edited to become the 'We hate LC's' club. Its a dirty threat... but I'm a desperate woman! "

This reporter hopes that people will lend support to the poor dear in her hour of need- Food handouts are already arriving in perosis, where she is currently staying with some friends until she regains her place with her Squad.

The jump commenced on tick 112 with 16 ships, to many pilots relief. It was followed up in the following ticks, by further reinforcments in tights...

Pilot Y2kot Lost his spare pair, when his ship inexplicebly and strangely, blew up.... Scientists have the theory that it was fired upon by enemies hidden among the 200 odd decoys surronding MH. He has been demoted and provided with a new ship.

In more optamistic news, The pilot Tyk. Managed to escape, with courageous repairships using moves within the first five. He's heading to Perosis, and the illusion of safety, to rep up. Good luck, and come back soon!

To this reporters knowledge, No Krilgorian ships have been killed this tick (115) although one was killed the previous tick.

Several Cowardly krilgorians fled in the red, we await to see what their remaining fleet shall do.

One hopes, that bombing can soon commence for the bombers, on the MH ST, to gain themselves points for their cruisers... and to cripple the krils.

Reports from the frontline are coming in to indicate another historic moment in the war against the other races, As Krilgore's ST was blown tick 122. we have no information as of yet, as to who struck the final blow, but this war effort has certainly shown its fruit.

Pilots are en-route to a Spa and Relaxation centre in Perosis, where expert teams will commence repairs upon the battle worn hulls of the fleet, while pilots relax for the night. Although Beset by an anomoly, only a turn before the explosion, no deaths have yet resulted from faulty equipment or over used and damaged ships. We await the arrival of stragglers, and hope they retire from the front safely.

In Related News-

With many Pairs of tights singed and burned, a new variant on them has appeared- The pink Fishnet variety. TumNarDok has already been seen sporting the improved trend, and other pilots are rapidly following suit- some having an unfortunate yellow tinge, however, from their reflective hulls.

The Krils fleet seems to be mainly skulking in Krilgore- No organized 'blob' as such, can be seen however.

The Tibs remain in Star City, although none have as yet moved this turn.

The Jax continue to peer cautiously over the rim of their homeplanet- they may be settling in for the long haul.

Scan Tower Goes Red!

In a news story from the front, Our scan tower, under attack from the the terrible tibs, since yesturday, last tick (142) finally slipped into the red.

Our bombers are at this time continueing the war effort over in TMC- wildly more efficent, they are quickly driving down the hp of the tibrans tower...meaning eithere we'll have a tower... or no-one will.

With the Bulk of the tib's ramshackle fleet in DH, The party in TMC has a freeand- although pilots from the battlefield DH are being sent home the fast way, every tick.

Latest recipitent is pilot Orith-killed before he made a move, and within the first minute, by only 7 ships.

Next target is MaCos, and the Brave Boraxians, begin to dare to hope, that if they kill all the bombers.. their scan tower has a chance to survive.

We await with interest, development from the front.

Tibran Target is Pirate, almost permantly in the yellow since his arrival- but still, however, alive- a nice thing to note, is that NO pilots have yet been lost.

LEAPING LIZARDS IN PINK TIGHTS...

Yes you read it right we have leaping lizards
In pink tights celebrating the victory of blowing
Up the Tabs scan tower and the awesome defense
Of their own tower.

As the night shift took over in DH it was touch
And go there for a while. Then the Tib bombers
Began to fall.

Under the leadership of Captain Dream
The first Tib bomber Refunk was sent home the quick route. The following Tick there were more cloaker pilots to assist in the killing of Pilot Trout feeling a little more confident now they opened fire on top Tib Bomber Orith and he was turned in to dust before the 2-minute mark. But the tower health kept falling and it looked like the defense efforts were going to be in vain. With early morning peaking over the planet and still 3 level 5 bombers working away on the tower it was not looking good.

But as everyone knows Lizards in Pink tights can’t give up and some how managed to damage the remaining bombers enough so they would flee.

It is a glorious day for the leaping lizards and they deserve a little time to celebrate.

Ok Time is up now get back to work repairing the tower The one and only tower. Victory is so close can we reach It without major loss?

BORAXIAN FLEET REUNITED IN DH

  • Author: Dream

TURN 151

Capping off the successful defense of the Boraxian Scanning Tower in DH and the elimination of the last remaining enemy tower in TMC, was the reunion today of the two fleet elements in DH. Having defied the conventional wisdom that dividing ones main fleet is suicidal, by managing to hold off the Tibran attack in DH without the crucial bomber corps, the Bors were then faced with the problem of bringing their bombers home through hostile territory.

Though the journey certainly had it's hair raising moments, all elements of the bomber force seem to have returned home safely (if not in one piece). Though celebration will certainly be the order of the day tomorrow, with talk of the first 3 cruisers nearing completion in the Durius Highlands on the heels of such a resounding victory, rest and repair for now take precedence over celebration for still weary pilots. Boraxian Defense Tactic Thwart Three Legion Attack

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 15 September 2003 4:54

Once again the Boraxian Scan Tower was attacked by enemy ships. Most of the Legion was taking part in the attack on PK when scans alerted to Tib bombers taking over NSA and en-route to Durius Highlands. This was no problem it looked like sending a small squad to take out the few bombers would do the trick. Then the Ajax legion showed up on scans heading in the same direction. It was clear that the Ajax, Krill and Tib legions had made a nap and were joining forces to launch an attack on the last functioning scan tower in the galaxy.

Boraxian pilots were divided on what to do. The battle in PK was not going well for the fighters and cloakers due to low attendance and no fire discipline the legion could not hurt the Krill legion.

As it turns out the Krill legion consists of 23 cloakers and 17 repair ships 19 fighters and 7 bombers. The cloakers would draw fire then cloak making it almost impossible to kill anything.

The Boraxian Bombers and Cruisers were too busy bombing to notice that the Cloakers and Fighters were losing the battle and the repair ships were sporting amber to red shields and were forced to take cover in the carriers.

The Boraxian Pilots were able to kill two high level Krill repair ships and were surprised to see the top ranking Krill repair ship Pilot Fixer go rogue and suicide the ship straight in to the planet. Fast acting rescue pilots for the Boraxian people were able to pick up pilot Fixer’s escape pod and welcome a new pilot to the Legion.

Legion Commander Sight ordered the legion to retreat to Perosis to regroup and prepare for what looked like a huge bloody battle against all three legions. The retreat was swift and it was no problem for the Boraxian pilots to build a defense wall between Perosis and Durius highlands.

The slaughter of all three legions began on Saturday and ended on Sunday. Once again the Boraxian legion put a stop to the attack and killed many bad guys from all three sides. Losses for the Boraxian legion have not been officially counted. Although the numbers are presumed to be low.

Another Cruiser was added to legion and is being piloted by our very own Commander Sight. Keep up the good work and remember for all the news you will ever need read it first in the Boraxian Bugle.

BATTLE OR WALTZ?

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 17 September 2003 3:51

As the Boraxian pilots gather in Dreadlar preparing for the second round on PK one has to wonder if it really can be called a battle.

The Krill have been reduced to less than 10 high level ships and half of those are repairships. There is really no legion left to fight. The bombers have to just do thier job and bomb. From the looks of it this battle will be over in one day.

Lets see if the bombers can pull off a record setting destruction of a HW. Now with many cruisers to aid in the bombing force it will be more like a waltz through PK.

As sad as it sounds due to lack of reporters and interests the bugle will no longer be reporting the battle news . There were no updates posted in five days even though a HW was blown to bits and several new cruisers were added to the legion.

Yes big news like this should have made a special edition but no reporters could be bothered with reporting it.

Battle still rages on in Tibland guess you will have to hear about it when the war is over and summed up on the uncharted sector web site.

Planet Krilgore--Boraxian forces finally unleashed their assault on the Krilgorian homeworld today, meeting with unexpectedly light resistance. The Bor high command had been highly confident of success in this attack, in no small part due to the failure of much of the Kril fleet to return home.

The small resistance however has confused even the best Boraxian analysts, leaving many to theorize the Krils may be experiencing severe internal political problems. PLANET KRILGORE--The Kril homeworld met with destruction today, at the hands of Boraxian pilots. Large amounts of damage appear to have been sustained by the Boraxian fleet, mostly from flying debris. Capping off this effort would seem to be an effort to destroy and convert the remaining Kril pilots at large. Council member VoxDei was quoted as stating, "Five kills of any size will earn you a gold star. Get yours today!". Sizeable bounties have been offered for Kril pilots still at large, most notably Roman, chopper, theRocksmells, ZhaoZilong, and the infamous war criminal Faulcon.

DURIUS HIGHLANDS--Two newest cruisers nearing completion, Fox13 and VoxDei rumored to be frontrunners in selection for pilots.

PART 3

WILD DRINKING ORGY AND MISC KRIL HUNTING

SouthernSector--Following their destruction of the Krilgorian homeworld and the "cleansing" of the surrounding area, the Boraxian Fleet has retreated to sunny SS for much needed rest, relaxation and repping (self-repping in the case of uglier and less popular pilots). Following a large victory with few losses, Bor pilots seem to have cut loose on a wild spree of intoxicated madness the likes of which this reporter hopes never to hear again. In unrelated news, the economy of those planets in SS not destroyed for sport by Boraxian cruisers has quadrupled.

Small Boraxian elements less damaged by PK's destruction continue to hunt retreating Kril remnants in the Acrador system. Reinforcements seem unlikely for either side given the current state of the galaxy.

OTHER NEWS:

THETHREESUNS--Forty-fifth annual Tib-ajax staring contest to begin today, forecasters predict 90% casualties by boredom.

PEROSIS--Pilot ZhaoZilong hides behind asteroid, as Krils have already been reduced to mythological status (Bors have short attention spans) his mere presence has proved problematic to travel with many pilots in the area flying into small moons/stars while in shock at the sight of him. Author: Dream :: Posted: 22 September 2003 19:05

PART 4

MYSTERIOUS BLACKOUT

EVERYWHERE--The entire galaxies population suddenly slipped into a day long coma, by all accounts, living off stored body fat and spiders that got too close to snoring mouths. Casualties were few, as all active fleets were at dock at the time.

Theories abound as to the cause for the phenomenon, one of the most popular being that this was some sort of secret doomsday Kril weapon that was either never successfully completed or that the Krils couldn't shield themselves from, for stopping the Bor attack on PK. Another hypothesis runs that pilot Tykopolus, slightly intoxicated and attempting to impress Fleet Command into giving him a cruiser, shot several spatial anomalies that would probably have been better off left alone. In Acrador, Bor pilots took advantage of groggy Krils to make several kills.

OTHER NEWS--

ACRADOR--Attempts to bring theRockSmells to justice have failed, with "Save the Krils" protestors using themselves as human shields to protect the repper. Didn't stop the shooting of course, but they executed the shield part of the equation wonderfully.

PART 5

PREPARING FOR THE TIBS

MOONSOFKARRP--Moving into position to attack the Tibran homeworld in Moons of Karrp today, shin guards were issued to protect pilots from the large number of expected base bunnies. Most appear to be a brilliant pink, to match the infamous pink Boraxian "Tutu's of Death". The Tibs appear to have begun to arrive at their HW for it's defense, though numbers remain small. Despite not having had the opportunity to break the Tibran fighting spirit aforehand, Boraxian fleet command remains optimistic of victory.

OTHER NEWS--

TRIPE--Tibran pilot Zezima reduced to madness after shot to the head from pilot VoxDei, quote, "I OWN THIS SYSTEM!! ITS MINE AND I WILL GROW RUTABAGAS AND KUMQUATS FOR FUN AND MONEY!!"

DURIUSHIGHLANDS SHIPYARD--Cruisers piloted by VoxDei, Ranthed, Dream, and Fox13 anticipated to be available for attack on Tibrar. A fifth piloted by Tykopolus is expected to be available in time to aid in the fight as well.

At 1800 hours this evening the Boraxian fleet completed its planned withdrawal from Tibrar. Although the Tibran fleet was decimated without loss during the main phase of "Operation Smash the Teacups", the withdrawal operation saw the destruction of Kandaar's repairship and Tykopulus' cruiser, as the Tibs finally persuaded a mostly-junk secret weapon based on the Canopus West ghost fleet gravity manipulation technology to work, disabling their ships' systems. The weapon is believed to have exploded shortly after the test firing, killing its operators and destroying the third moon of Tibrar Prime.

The fleet action in Tibrar saw the destruction of all but one of the Tibran capital ships, along with numerous smaller craft such as the level 5 repairship of Hermione, reduced from a largely-working-if-slightly-scratched state to a smoking hulk in less than ten seconds. Viceroy Llotyhy, who ordered the attack, was heard exclaiming "WOW!" by his ship's boy shortly after the attack, although it is unclear whether this was referring to the speed of the destruction or just to the fact that his chef had finally cooked something edible.

In other news, the Ajaxian senate today voted to rescind emergency powers granted to the Ajaxian LC at the outbreak of hostilities. This theoretically will seriously hinder the Ajaxian efforts to blob up, although nobody's sure anyone will notice a difference.

LAST TIB CRUISER DESTROYED

TURN 260

MOONS OF KARRP--Surprising many military analysts, the Boraxian blob jumped back into Tibrar today to once again attack the Tibran home system. Conspicuous in this attack was that, once again, the powerful cruiser strike force was not unleashed for planetary bombardment. Rather, the last Tibran cruiser, and several other ships of the Tibran blob were destroyed in several turns action--after which the Boraxians once again withdrew to Tibrar.

Tibran forces expressed elation at what many within the Tibran high command had thought to be a last stand. In the Boraxian command, however, the attitude remains one of confidence--the kill ratio in the battle greatly favored the Boraxians, and a serious effort to destroy the planet never seems to have been the aim of the invasion (this time...mwahzHAHAHAhahahahaha).

OTHER NEWS--

BORAXIAN COMMANDER USES ESCAPE POD AT LAST MINUTE

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 27 September 2003 18:02

Commander Sight found himself in a tight situation when a direct hit from a Ajaxian ship shorted out his electrical system and he was unable to read any controls or pilot his heavily damaged cruiser. Despite repeated efforts from both carrier pilots TumNarDok and The Bull, and expert repairs from The Keeper who was able to bring the electrical system back online just in time to power the eject button for the escape pod. It was a close call for everyone the cruiser was lost but Commander Sight tucked safely in his escape pod was picked up and taken back to Boraxus for a full medical work up and assignment of new ship.

The advancement of more than half the legion to level 5 ships has brought a new burden to the legion. There are less than a dozen mid-level ships now and a new recruitment of pilots in bunny level ships makes it very difficult to with stand a head to head combat with Ajaxian or Tib pilots.

With cruisers fighting against level 1,2, or even level 3 ships it gives the lower level ships a chance to gain strength in remarkable short amount of time. While our lower level ships are quickly taken down . This leaves a problem when a sector needs to be secured as everyone was well aware of in Apollo.

Pilot Nerull was forced to flee Ajaxus for repairs only to find the fall back sector Apollo inundated with pesky Tib tea sippers and not enough reinforcements to give him a safe haven for repairs. So the quick thinking pilot made a second jump to Tripe which looked safe but was quickly reported to conceal a lurking Rogue StarTrooper.

Orders are standing to regroup in Apollo and board members have a big task on their hands to come up with a solution to this legion crippling problem.

It is reported from many sources that the pink tights are to blame for the lack of mid-level pilots. As everyone knows every pilot who reaches level 2 is issued a new uniform that consists of bright pink tights, and once a pilot is promoted to cruiser level or carrier level they are also issued a new uniform of gold. The pilots race to reach the top level in order to burn the pink tights and the bunnys linger at level one to avoid the dreaded uniform.

IN OTHER NEWS...

Welcome to the new pilots from Krilgorian refugee camps. You will find life better here once you adjust to the pink tights.

NEWS FROM OTHER SECTORS...

It is reported the tea supply has run dry for the Tibs as a large shipment was intercepted in the roids two days ago. As it turns out the tea was only a cover for the spying Tib forces. After scientists finished the analysts of the tea it was revealed to contain a truth serum which once ingested forced the drinker to reveal all personal information to anyone who would listen. It was also found to contain small amounts of hormones to make the drinker become snobbish and slimy. Scientist warned that a adverse reaction could occur if this tea was mixed with the Boraxian wine many reporters (Dream) are known to consume. The effects are all not known but one is linked to it for sure and that would be Constant ramblings and the fear to blow a HW. If you encounter any of these symptoms please report to base for immediate treatment.

APOLLO SECTOR, TRIPE, 81103, DURIUS HIGHLANDS, MOONS OF KARRP, GAREN, THE THREE SUNS...ANYWAY, YOU GET THE IDEA

Following the withdrawl from Ajaxus by the Boraxian fleet, inexplicably only several turns from destroying a second enemy Homeworld, the powerful Boraxian Fleet appears to have scattered in a variety of directions. True, many elements seem to be content to simply rep up from the now ended base attack, but those not in need seem much more intent on pursuing whatever seems to be a good time. Following on the strange withdrawl from Ajaxus, this odd behavior has created many theories.

Perhaps most popular, it has been put forward that the Ajaxians lured the Bors away by wafting the scent of fresh baked donuts in from the Apollo sector. Other theories include sabotage by correspondents for the Boraxian Bugle (no comment), sudden inexplicable success by Ajaxian Diplomats (unlikely given their execution on Boraxian pay per view last week), or a poorly developed attempt at humor by the Boraxian Command Council. The Bugle however, has an inside source, quote pilot Ranthed, "The Ajax just smelled that bad. It was indescribable, sorta like rotten eggs mixed with week old SPAM! Once the fall back order came down, people just took off and a lot of them didn't stop till they were 3-4 sectors away from the stink."

BORAXUS--Citing failing health following the destruction of his command cruiser in Ajaxus and a growing inability to physically meet the demands of the position due to overwork, Boraxian LC Sight has announced today his intent to resign his position.

Sight, it may be recalled, has been LC for approximately 275 turns having taken over after the emergency interim government headed by TumNarDok. Though many critics have pointed out that he has never shown a great deal of strategic flair or brilliance, and on occasion made decisions that were arguably not the best (or sometimes just wrong), he has been the focal point for this tremendously successful Boraxian Fleet from it's infancy till it's planet crushing hey-day. His careful planning, willingness to listen to the inane bickering of council members and make some coherent sense of it, and above all loyalty to the Boraxian cause will be missed.

Certainly not the best LC the Galaxy has ever seen, but he did the job (when no one else would, no less) and will be missed. So here's to you sight, a salute from the Boraxian Bugle--Good Luck with your new job, and thanks for all your time and effort.

ELECTIONS BRING SURPRISE RESULTS...

As reported in the last issue Commander Sight resigned as active LC and all indications pointed to pilot Reema taking over the huge task of finishing off the Ajaxian planet. But as the dawn broke and the results were read it was Pilot Llotyhy who has taken command. Promoted to commander in a small ceremony Commander Llotyhy joking said, "I’m not sure I need a council, and there will be no more self repairs." This is quite a change from what the Boraxian Legion is use to in a Commander. Never has there been a LC who uses humor while in command. We shall see if this holds up while in battle.

WAR UPDATE...

After several ticks of bombing the Ajaxian HW the battered and torn legion was forced to retreat to SC before the job was done. The fighter pilots 10 in total were unable to pull together and use the firepower to take out a single ship. The cruisers ships were under constant attacks that lead to amber and then red shield forcing them to leave the sector at a rate of 2 ships per tick. Several cruiser pilots for one reason or another did not show up for this battle and it has been determined the leading cause for not completing the mission. To make matters worse the fall back sector has been hit twice by anomalies and with the short supply of repair ships and LC orders not to self-repair it is not clear if the legion will ever be able to return to battle.

BUGLE REPORTERS FOUND IN BOR-KIN SUIT...

STRANGE BARRIER BLOCKS PILOTS FROM SHIPS FORCING A GLOBAL CEASE FIRE.....

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 3 October 2003 15:56

For days now a strange barrier has blocked 97% of all pilots from boarding their ships. Some pilots have managed to get past the barrier.

A global cease fire has been issued to all legions until this barrier can be removed. Pilots fear the destruction of the great Bor Legion due to being parked on the outer ring and no way of reaching their ships to repair from the constant occurrence of the anomalies.

Can we make it through this?

WHAT IN BOR-NATION HAS HAPPEN TO OUR LEGION?

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 7 October 2003 9:26

As reported in the last issue of the greatest space newspaper around, a strange barrier is blocking pilots from their ships. It has been reported that pilots are so distraught over being separated from their ships they have flooded the local pubs, bars, anywhere they can get drunk and have been in a drunken stupor for days.

The smoke signals sent out via the "Uncharted Sector" have only brought a few pilots back to the legion. The rest are to drunk to even see the smoke.

Was it the pink tights that created this barrier? Reporter Dream has been sent out to investigate this possibility.

The cease fire was going well until the consent whining of one pilot "bad guy" drove some pilots over the edge and they open fire on him and nearly killed him. Few others have found themselves in the same situation and were killed despite the efforts to stop laughing long enough to stop pulling the trigger.

The great Boraxian Legion has been reduced to half the pilots it had before. Now that the black hole has swallowed up all the inactive pilots and removed them from radar can this war continue? Do the Boraxian want to continue ? Has this war been forgotten due to pink tights and beer? All these questions and more will be answered in the next edition of the best news source around the Boraxian Bugle.

AJAXUS FALLS, TAKING BORAXIAN LC AND THREE OTHERS...

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 10 October 2003 8:36

After days and days of no-stop bombing by what is left of the mighty bor fleet the planet blows taking three top cruiser pilots and our LC.

It was tough going for the hard working cruiser pilots with little rest and constant fire to their shields. They were determined to complete this mission even if it meant losing the scan tower and at least three cruisers.

Commander Lloythy ordered all ships to Star city to help with the bombing and destruction of all Ajaxian ships in the sector. Cruiser pilots, Dalamar, Cop Vox, Fox13, Commander Lloythy, worked feverishly to take down the planet. With the top carrier pilot Tum (always in on the action) providing a safe haven for battered ships .

The pds was taking a toll on all ships it was a welcome site when Cruiser Pilot Dream found his way back to the legion along with M.I.A. pilot Remma. As the planet began to show signs of destruction it became very clear to these brave bomber pilots that most if not all were going to lose their ships when the planet blew.

When commander Lloythy fired his last missile in to the planet he was ambushed by angry ajax pilots who fired all shots straight in to his hull blowing it to pieces, but not before our fearless Commander could press that eject button to launch his escape pod in the direction of the scrap runners, where he was safely picked up and returned to HQ to be issued a new ship.

But the planet was not going down as expected and now missing a cruiser it was not clear if we had the fire power to finish the job. As the next mission started out of the dark shadows emerged two level 5 ajaxian ships who opened fire on cop Vox taking him out along with Dalamar

As the cruiser pilots scrambled to gain position to finish the job it was Pilot Dream who administered the final blow sending a huge explosion through the sector with flying debris hitting all ships in the sector and killing off a few who were trying to flee the sector.

There was no time to waste and repair the legion needed to move and in a hurry. Pilot Tum was the one to come through ignoring his amber shields he fearlessly flew his ship and all his passengers through the two sectors to safely position what was left the mighty legion to prepare for yet another battle with the evil doers who were bombing our scan tower.

Commander Llothy ordered all ships to stay in Dragor and wait for the tower to blow. Our ships are in bad ship he said there is no reason to risk any more when the tower is going to blow.

As luck has it just as the last of high level enemy ships entered DH our friend Mr. Anomaly hit the sector causing damage to all ships.

Now when the tower blows there will be death to some ships and we will be waiting to finish off the others. Be sure to read it here first in the Bugle.

This just in - the latest shipment of the standard-issue Boraxian pink tights has been intercepted by the enemy coalition forces in Durius Highlands. Boraxian pilots, who have been in the same tights for a matter of weeks now, are said to be incensed at this news and are anticipated to fight even harder than usual to get out of their slightly shop-soiled current uniforms.

AFTERMATH OF AJAXUS

  • Author: Dream
  • Posted: 12 October 2003 7:01

Having traded the last known Scanning Tower in Durius Highlands (and the huge amount of cash in tourism that it brought in) for the elimination of Ajaxus, the battered Boraxian fleet fell back through Dragor to Durius Highlands earlier this week while maintaining a running fight with Ajaxian forces.

Still fighting the effects of the long lasting that crippled many of the best pilots in all legions, and having taken much damage from the destruction of Ajaxus, two carriers and a Shadow Class cloaker were lost before Ajaxian forces could be repelled from Dragor. In light of these losses, the addition of new reppers to the fleet (such as that piloted by veteran VoxDei) and new cruisers issued to pilots Ryu03 and tribune, are most welcome relief.

OTHER NEWS

TIBRAR--Tibs fear Boraxians may be gaining scans using psychic powers, issue aluminum helmets to all pilots to block telepathic probes.

DURIUSHIGHLANDS--Kril remnants and Tib/Ajax wanderers continue to plague the system, bringing property values down dramatically (though all property was recently destroyed, so not much point in that statement). Quote pilot Chopper, "The weather in DH is just wonderful, I think I might buy a condo here!"

DURIUSHIGHLANDS--Remains of Scanning Tower purchased by EVIL-FUN Corp., who plan to construct an Apocalypse themed Amusement park from it's ruins.

BORAXUS--Boraxian pilot Dream lodges complaint with high command, claims he deserves credit for killing JackBlackIV and VoxDei when he destroyed Ajaxus (both were Boraxian pilots at the time). Quote pilot VoxDei in reaction to the filing, "Dream's completely lost touch with reality, I think it's all that gas in NSA that he's always snorting. I gave him some bad directions on how to get back to Boraxus from Star City, ya know, for the good of the legion and whatnot, but he made it back anyway."

AJAXIANS WELCOME!!

  • Author: Dream

BORAXUS--With the fall of Ajaxus, formerly Ajaxian pilots have begun to join both Tib and Bor fleets in growing numbers. With many skilled pilots to be distributed among the two remaining factions, these new recruits will likely prove a decisive factor if hostilities continue for a good period of time.

Quote pilot Ryu0# in charge of orientation for former Ajaxians, "We're hoping to persuade a fair number to stick things out with us. Besides solid job security, our medical and dental plans are far better than what the Tibs offer, plus we've got a wonderful day care service!" The most visible effort thus far has seen the words "Ajaxian's Welcome!" carved into the face of Boraxus' third moon--though translators suggest that the welcome may have been mispelled (in which case it would say something rather unflattering about your mother). Despite the pervasive optimism other seem less optimistic noting that many Ajax seem "pissed off" about the change--probably something about that whole Blowing-Up-Ajaxus incident, but who can really be sure.

BORAXUS--Pilot Dream's request to be given credit for killing friendlies in battle has been denied. Quote, "I plan to appeal the decision of course!"

DRAGOR--Wild Party to be held aboard carrier TumNarDok...drunken and dangerous behavior encouraged.

BORAXUS--Former Ajaxians confused by change in physical form, quote pilot Sardukar, "Seriously, how'd I end up as a giant salamander, this makes no freaking sense!" Scientists puzzled, blame previous administratoin (darn you Sight!).

LC ORDERS ALL PILOTS TO PREPARE FOR BATTLE...

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 18 October 2003 5:45

After eight days of total loafing, drinking, and careless living the order to prepare for battle was given today. Commander Llotyhy has been in rare moods lately. The last orders heard were, "have fun". Many pilots took this to heart and have been on a nonstop partying binge. What a sight it has been around the local pubs with all the new pilots slipping and sliding in their new pink tights. But all good things must come to an end and there are many angry green bad guys just waiting for us to pay them a visit.

So all pilots are to report for duty tick 457 or something like that. Just show up and shoot stuff. no need to fret over your big bad cruiser this is the biggie here so make sure you are part of it.

IN OTHER NEWS Pilot Dream has been granted "credit" for blowing up friendlies in Ajaxus. The high court was heard making this comment, "just give him credit and he will go away and leave this court alone."

Tibs are losing pilots due to electric shock from the metal helmets that were issued to prevent mental probes. No one told the pilots to remove the helmets before entering the latrine and flipping on the lights. Total count has not been reported yet but the line to the latrine is still very long.

Ajax pilots are still bitter over being left with two cruisers and the rest repair ships. It has been decided that jax are just bitter no matter how you cook them.

If you have something to say so what, just read the Bugle first.

This reporter has been out baking cookies and missed the battle in Tibland that took 5 cruisers yes 5 cruisers and there may have been more losses not sure. A report was expected from Pilot Dream but he has been tied up with his glory of killing friendlys in Ajaxus.

The loss of the cruisers and general lack of following orders led Commander Lloythy to total frustration and he resigned. The election seemed short and brought Pilot Reema in to power.

No ceremony was announced for the promotion of Pilot Reema to Commander but it happened anyway. Congratulations to the new commander we hope you have the patience to led this legion to victory.

With such great losses for the Legion it was bound to happen sooner or later but now the Fury green creeps now have a stronger Legion than the mighty Bors. They don't know how to fly very well so we may not have to much to worry about.

The orders are to regroup in RSC for dinner lets all be there shall we.

Turn 532

PLANET BORAXUS--With Tibran forces moving into 81103 and a still potent Ajaxian remnant lurking in the OR, the depleted Boraxian Main Fleet has been ordered home for what is shaping up to be the first serious attack upon our cherished Home World to date. Readers will of course remember various recent small raides conducted by Tibran and Ajaxian forces in the absence of resistance, but a full out assault on a still potent Boraxian Navy is a completely different matter.

The Tibrans moved into position in 81103 yesterday, avoiding conflict with the Boraxian Fleet in RSC that, though weaker, has still bested them in every conflict outside Tibrar. Newly appointed Legion Commander Reema stated earlier, "We sincerely hope they hit us here...it would be a massacre if they tried, and we would chase them all the way back to Tibrar."

RED SKY CITY--As seen in military forces across time, a siege quickly leads to a vicious tornado of forays and skirmishes around two opposing forces. Such has been the case thus far as the Tibran Main Fleet continues to wait in 81103 for an attack that most analysts are sure will never come.

The most notable skirmish thus far occurred earlier in RSC, the fallback sector for the Boraxian Fleet. While much of the fleet was being fueled or repaired, a small Tibran force spearheaded by the only two Tibran cruisers attacked this important sector. Boraxian Fleet Command reacted decisively to the threat, sending all available ships into the fray.

Not expecting such a swift response, the raiders lost hard hitting veteran pilot Aesirai's cruiser and lvl 5 pilot Karbon to the short fight. For a fleet recently knocked on it's heels, it was a most welcome boost to morale and a reminder of the still potent firepower commanded by the Legion.

ASTEROIDS--Following the show of firepower in Red Sky City, Tibran forces retreated through the asteroid fields to Canopus West. Boraxian forces entered the 81103 and Asteroid sectors and killed several straggling pilots, but a large scale battle seems to have been avoided. Though widely scorned as a cowardly move, or "the Tibs doing what they do best--running away", the move has regained maneuverability for the Tibran blob, and was well timed to take place before the Bors returned to Boraxus in sufficient force to harass the retreat from their front.

DEFEAT!

RED SKY CITY--The Boraxian Main Fleet tasted a sound defeat in a major battle for the first time since approximately Turn 50. Launcing an attack on Tibran forces that had moved to RSC through the roids, the Boraxian blob proved to be too dispersed to budge the well entrenched Tibs. The result was the loss of 3 cruisers, and many other high level pilots.

While Legion Commander Reema blamed the failure on flagging discipline in the legion, ViceRoy Dream blamed the failure on the Legion Commander. Thankfully, almost no one else seems to have paid any attention to the blame game and shrugged off the defeat. Readers will note that the last defeat by Boraxian forces (outside a planetary assault) came in Perosis at the hands of the Krilgorians--and when was the last time you saw one of those, huh?

Boraxian forces have once again regrouped in Boraxus awaiting an attack that will most likely never come.

MOONSOFKARRP--Seizing the initiative from a Tibran blob bent on circling the planet Boraxus for a large part of eternity, the Boraxian Fleet hypered through the roids from Red Sky City to the enemy stronghold of Tibrar.

After several hours inside the stronghold, and managing to destroy several high lvl enemy ships, the Bor Forces were forced to withdraw but did so in excellent order. The bold move has done much to show that the Boraxian Fleet is far from broken or defeated.

IMPRESSIVE STAND IN MOK BY BORAXIAN PILOTS

The cheers could be heard around the galaxy for the fall of the smelly green slime balls also known as the Tibs. Pilots were eager to show their talent as the shields of the bad guys began to fall and the confidence for our pilots took a sharp rise. With brute force the brave Boraxian pilots killed a carrier and who knows how many inside alone with the big kill of thecat.

The high council was very impressed with the show of strength and courage by all members of the legion and approved the big bonus payouts with this weeks payroll.

As with any war we did suffer some loss the big blow was the destruction of high ranking ex-LC Lloythy’s repairship. When ask to comment this is what he had to say, “ This is the last time I fly a reeper they target me in anything I fly 8 deaths this time I couldn’t shoot back” We are sorry for your hardship and will do everything in our power to avenge your deaths.

The legion is gaining the power we once held in this war before the tragic loss of many pilots to the blockade. Never lose faith for we will prevail.

Read it here first or Pilot Dream will come to your pod and never leave.

AJAXIANS ATEMPT TO STEAL BORAXIAN HOMEWORLD

BORAXUS--Attempts by surviving Ajaxian pilots to lay claim to Boraxus by sucking it into an alternate dimension were foiled today by the return of the Boraxian Main Fleet. Ajaxian forces took heavy casualties that many in what many have hailed as perhaps the last gasp of serious organized Jax resistance in the region. With new cruisers in the hands of pilots Dalamar and Son_of_squid, and many veterans leveling back up, the Boraxian Main Fleet is once again nearing the size of it's Tibran counterpart.

GALACTIC ANOMALY PT 2...or is 3 now...maybe more, I lose track as they go by

EVERYWHERE--Once again a crippling paralysis has laid low much of both Tibran and Boraxian fleets. Scientists are at a loss as to what might have caused it, or if this incident bears any relation to previous ones. Perhaps the most popular current theory is that experiments in Super Conductive Electro Sub-Sonic Cheese Curds may have had something to do with it...or perhaps the Tibran LC, having experienced such joy in pushing the Big Red button, pushed the lesser known but equally horrifying Big Mauve button.

In the interim, Boraxian pilots have solidified the area around Boraxus as firmly under their control. Most have resisted the temptation to slaughter sleeping enemies, for fear that the same fate might befall sleeping comrades elsewhere.

BORAXUS--Role call shows many pilots still sleeping, pillows to be issued 'just in case' to all pilots in preparation for future anomalies.

STRANGE SPACE FOG SETTLES ON TWO REMAINING HW AND EATS AWAY OVER ¼ OF LIFE.....

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 13 November 2003 16:14

Many pilots were taken by surprise when they woke up to find a thick fog had settled on the HW. With zero visibility most ships were grounded for many days. When the fog lifted the damage was severe to both HW. High council called an emergency meeting to sort out a plan of action and to get all available scientists on the cause of the deadly fog. Rumor has it the last remaining Ajax and Kril pilots where the creators of the fog as a last ditch effort for revenge.

Meanwhile there have been frantic runs to NSA and even the UNCHARTED SECTOR by reepers and carriers from both sides grabbing all scrap and dumping it back on the planet. While other pilots seem to be confused as to what they should do a few have stepped up to become escort ships for the safe travels of the reepers. Stay tuned for further orders on the situation.

In other news it has been brought to the attention of some who read the ranking pages that a Boraxian Squad has reached a new all time high with having 5 of the 10 pilots holding a spot on the front page. Yes we are talking about the mighty S13 also known as the Dream Team. With members in the # 1 and 2 spot and over 1,000,000 combine points. Top pilot Tum and his flying rock carrier and six cruiser pilots a level five reeper a level four fighter and one cloaker rounding the squad out . Nice work people maybe you will make it to the hall of Voxi Fame someday.

More news to come later when the human boss leaves my office and I can safely continue to waste time at work and write these rags for all to read.

FULL ASSULT LAUNCHED ON BORAXUS...

  • Author: Hapiface
  • Posted: 22 November 2003 16:39

In the early morning hours while many pilots were sleeping the green slim oozed into Boraxus and immediately started attacking ships. Our VR was targeted right off the bat and although it took them two ticks to kill him his ship was destroyed in tick 737. Before Pilot Dream left for the weekend he was heard mumbling words about his next ship was going to be a reeper and he would have his first carrier in no time.

With the absence of the LC it was no surprise that Pilot TumNakDok took command of the legion and ordered all ships to return home and scolded S13 for leaving the HW. The legion was able to kill many targets without the cruiser support of S13, but was unable to protect pilot TumNakDok when he became the target. As his shields began to burn and the ships inside the carrier began to panic and tear at the walls sending desperate comms pleading for the carrier to pull out it was reported when the hyper gate opened and the burning carrier left the sector a very evil grin was spotted on the face of pilot Tum as he mumbled to himself, "stupid tibs I have no guns on this ship".

The war rages on and although we have lost some big ships and many points the HW is in tact and we have several more level 5 ships now. If the Tibs stay for a few more ticks we will have the forces needed to take out their HW. We will just have to wait and see what happens in the next 8 hours.

Be sure to read it here first in the Bugle

The presses were in high gear printing out the big news of the green slime running from Boraxus.

In a valiant display of fire discipline and coordination the night crew took out cruiser pilot Roxy_06 and carrier pilot Happy in tick 743. This display of power sent the Green Slime running from the sector leaving many behind for certain death as the Boraxian legion began to wake up.

The Boraxian people wish to thank all the brave pilots for again saving the HW from destruction and many have sent food baskets for you to indulge in. Pick up your basket before you are called out to battle again.

Let us not forget about the ships lost and damaged in this battle. Pilot TumNarDok is still healing in 81103 lets get him back up to full health asap.

so it seems Pilot Dream has chosen a reeper for his next ship. It is good to see him back on the line so soon. He was not available for an interview yet we will catch up with him on Monday.

What lies ahead of us is unknown but we do know that the green slime FAILED with their assault on us lets not make the same mistake with them.

Read it now in volume II of the Boraxian Bugle.

On Friday there was a sneaky Tib scrap runner who didn't look before they jumped and landed right in the middle of S13 and friends who quickly were able to turn this level 5 reeper in to scrap. It was a great kill and worth the trip as a pilot pointed out to this reporter. "our trip wasn't useless we were able to kill a scrap runner and lift the morale of some pilots."

Every kill is worth the trip! Even if some would disagree.

BORAXIAN PILOTS PULVERIZE TIBS IN RED SKY CITY...

With the slimy Tibs fleeing from Boraxus, after they witnessed the true strength of the Boraxian legion it became clear that many Boraxian pilots were not ready to stop pulverizing the tasty tib-bits. So after only one days rest the order was given to remove the infestation of green slime held up in Red Sky City.

The jump was good 20 or more ships all ready to battle it out and send the Tibs back home on the express pod. The first attack went very well taking out zypher and then it only got better. The legion pulled together and took out top Tib carrier pilot Kharn. After Kharn , it was pilot Onion, and finishing up with pilot Rifle.

this of course was a huge victory and the moral of the legion was climbing strong. But with all good things there is some bad and that was the announcement by Commander Reema’s need to step down from his post. He has stated this twice now and is patiently awaiting for his replacement to report for duty. As of yet none have showed up.

Commander Reema did a fine job in his first ever leadership post. He was able to motivate pilots to show up for battle and had an active council to help plan the battles. Thank you Commander Reema for serving the legion in it’s time of need.

HAVING SAID THAT...(glances around for Voxi)
