Boraxian Bugle Beta 15

Peace in the universe is always short, and once again the alarm has been sounded to report for battle. As the pilots take their places in the legion it was announced that there has been some changes in Home World defense. It is not possible to repair home worlds now the only way to gain power is by applying scrap loads. This changes the way a legion will be fighting. From the looks of things it will be to a legions advantage to make scrap runs with the repair ships and fight most battles in sectors along the path of the scrap capital of the galaxy. What a fun new approach to ruling the galaxy. Lets see how well the Boraxians adapt to the new battle style.

A note to the new pilots, if you are unsure of anything and need some questions answered just open your browser to www.theunchartedsector.co.uk/ and you will find answers to most all your questions. Or you can send your questions to the BUGLE where they will be read and answered in the order they were received.

Still to early to tell which side will be the dominant side in this war. The Boraxian legion looks promising. It will be a few days until we see how strong our enemies are.

That’s it for the news for now. All pilots are welcome to report any news as they see it.

Tick 9 of galactic war 15

After early Roids dominance, the Bors find themselves gearing up for the games first large scale battle in Darius Highlands. With heavy Krill presence and a small contingent of Ajaxians, who knows what the future will hold. Already 2 pilots have fallen, the Krill David and Boraxus' own Britnoth. What does the future hold? As reinforcements even the numbers gap, can the Bors hold off the Krills and sucessfully defend the tower? Embedded reporter DarkRaven will bring you the highlights.

Tick 12

Embedded reporter DarkRaven reporting from the front lines in DH. The battle seems to be over for now. Despite heavy loses, including your own reporter DR, valiant Boraxian forces have managed to drive off the invading Krills, managing a kill on level 2 pilot reema.

This incident provided a moment of high drama, as horrified Bor pilots watched the carnage stop leaving Reema with a bare 16 HPs, watching the hyper window open, but finally Orith came to the rescue-better late than never!

As the Bors continue to gather thier forces, only time will tell what they may do. But one thing is for certain, DR and the others at the BB will continue to bring you the news.

Tick 21

Still reporting from DH, emedded reporter and newly elected LC DarkRaven reflects on the current silence. With weekend activity low on all sides, fighting has, for the moment at least, ceased. However, Boraxian Intell Service reports that a Krill assault is likely to happen sometime tomorrow, around tick 24. "We expect an attack very soon, and recommend all ships get into top shape for it. We are worried about the possibility of an AA, and if it happens, the LC has ordered all ships to self rep." In the meantime, have confidence that your LC is proud of you so far. Sitting around is always tough, but it can win the war. Just be patient and something will happen. For the glory of the legion!!

Tick 29 of GW XV

On-Site Correspondent Hydrius

Transmission Begins-------

Hello and good evening fellow Boraxians. This is Hydrius of Perosis here reporting the events of these past few galactic ticks amongst the Boraxian fleet. These past few ticks have been filled with furious fighting, the likes of which have not been seen yet in this GW.

As you can see here, we've got the remnants of a major early skirmish here in Galactic War XV. Scrap is floating around me as I report this from our neighboring sector The Durius Highlands. It appears as if the Krilgorians were hoping to take advantage of another one of those characteristic atmospheric anomolies that hit the main portion of the Boraxian fleet here prior.

Without any reliable way to predict when these atmospheric anomolies hit, the Krilgorian fleet, despite their quick response, arrived to a startling sight. Only 29 of them had actually made the jump and by jove the Boraxian fleets capabilities to self repair had the Krilgorian fleet hypering into a much larger, healthier force than was hoped.

The following dogfights were intense and brutal. Through well placed orders, the concentrated fire of the Boraxian fleet took out multiple targets, critically wounding others beyong repair. However, the valiant Lycanthorpe was shot down today, but he managed to jettison his ship and return to planet Boraxus a hero. Despite the many offers to stay in Boraxus with his newfound glory, his duty to the Boraxian fleet was not yet finished and he returned as soon as he could in a repair ship, ready to prolong the fight for Boraxian life.

Currently, the Boraxian fleet is debating the choice as to whether to chase down the Krilgorians and try and finish their wounded off. This could be a major turning point of GWXV.

This is Hydrius, climbing back into his Golden Eagle, providing you with in-depth coverage of the happenings of GWXV, signing off.

Transmission Ends-------

KRILGORIAN LEGION TURNED IN TO SCRAP

As the dust begins to settle in DH after the long awaited battle with the krusty Krils, it became very clear that the Boraxian legion was growing in strength. Even with the help from the anomaly the Krils were only able to take down one Bor ship. With half the legion on amber shields the Boraxian pilots came out with guns blazing and in two ticks time turned the Krils in to scrap. Five krils made the All Time Top list as their ships were blown from the sky. The Bors displayed an enormous amount of firepower. Pilot Lycanthrope lost his ship in a freak accident with his back up shields. It is not clear what went wrong but his emergency shields did not deploy and left him shield less. Good news is he was picked up and issued a new ship. Yes one can say this was a big win for the Bors, and left some pilots craving more action. Plans are being made now by the LC as to what the next move will be. So repair up and prepare for battle.

In other space news , it was reported that the Tibs are now flying around with three level 3 ships after a battle with the Ajax in CT6. The details were not given just that the Tibs were shocked when the Ajax started slamming their ships into each other creating huge amounts of scrap in the sector. But, before the scrap could be picked up by any ships it just plain vanished. The Ajax were heard laughing and saying, “let’s see them top our vanishing scrap.” One can only wonder what is going on in the minds of the Jax when they thought crashing their ships and making the scrap disappear would help them in the war.

BORAXIAN LEGION CRUSH THE KRILS

In another magnificent display of firepower the Boraxian legion crushed the krils and sent them running from Perosis. One kill after another as the Bor legion leveled up and now have8 level 3 ships and 16 level 2. The power of the Bors is unstoppable.

The krils were already defeated even before the battle begun. In Tara’s Bar some Krills were heard saying "I think I'll just surrender now :p But you guys have practically won the beta We have 26 ships, you 21... we don't have any reinforcements... you will have... you have more levels... more chances to level up to 3 soon... more firepower

You name it More people online (forgot that one)". SpiderWolve{KRIL} "Perosis isn't safe. Yellow things fly out of hyperspace...watch out for those."

Victory is sweet for the Bors. Lets see how long they can hold on to the lead.

On the other side of the galaxy another war rages on and it isn’t clear who is winning. This is what Chilidog had to say "Ajax, You don't deserve the ships you have at this time. All I'm going to say." It is a mystery to us what he means by that. The Ajax could not be reached for comment.

Read it here in the Bugle first it could save your ship.

KRILGORIAN SCAN TOWER TURNED TO SPACE DUST

The battle in MH is finally over after two whole days of fighting around the clock. It was a tough battle the will of the Kril was very strong. The Boraxian legion would kill 3 ships a tick and in the same tick our scans would show the same three coming right back. This went on for two shifts. It was starting to wear thin on the Boraxian pilots. Some pilots just couldn’t believe their scans. One comm. Read, “Don’t they know when to give up?” The lack of repairships present in the battle zone was the only down fall for the Boraxian fleet. We lost two ships Hydris, and Madno of squad 313 both went down. We are happy to report they have both returned to the front line. Good job. The Krils lost around 20 ships total and left their fleet totally riped apart. They are now taking out their anger on the Tibs tower. Works for us.! A big welcome home party is waiting for the Boraxian Heros so hurry up and return home.

In other news,

The Tibs have poured all their work into a new farming program they hope to launch this year. They plan on growing all their own “go fast corn” and have some way of turning it in to fuel for the space craft. This is a long term program and they hope to use their first tank of "go fast corn fuel" in the next 20 years. Until then they will be buying their fuel from us. They is however a small problem with their plan. Corn will not grow in space but don’t spoil it for them.

The Krilgorian people are feeling the pains of war as they begin to pay out 87% of their pay for ship taxes. They lost so many ships in the last battle they now are required to take a pay cut so the ship builders can afford to build more ships. Perhaps if they went for quality and quantity they would have better results.

The Ajax have retreated to their home world and are vowing never to come out again. They always did think they were better than the rest . Lets leave it at that for now.

--NEWS FLASH--

Pilot Orith saves the scan tower from some rogue krill bombers. Good work Orith.

PAY BACKS ARE COSTLY

After a full week of pounding the Kril legion and bombing the HW the Krils finaly snap. The noise could be heard through the galaxy. The Tibs had grown bored with smacking the Jax and decided to come help the Krils.

The plan was simple when the special gate open from Garen to Dreadlar they would land in the fall back sector of the damaged Bor. The jump was great with 20 ships. The Bors were able to counter with a good jump as well.

The battle was even and then the order came down to fire early. The legion responded and took out 3 Tib ships. The Tibs were surprised and seeing the reinforcements from the Krils incoming knew they had the upper hand. They took down 2 level 5 and 1 level 4. The next tick the Bors lost 3 more and were not getting any reinforcements. The order to pull back was given and most pilots made the jump but some were sleeping. The Kril and Tibs didn’t give up they pushed the Bors back to RSC killing many in each jump.

As the Bors tried to regroup and get repairs, the Krils and tibs began to move to the outer ring to destroy the scan tower.

The Bor Fleet was to wounded to defend the tower and although they were able to take out 4 lower level bombers that didn’t seem to matter. The decision to pull back to Boraxus was made and the scan tower was blown up in less than 3 ticks. The only good side of this was the fighters were not able to level up with no ships in the sector to shoot.

The war has completely turned around now, and some are still in shock over the 15 ship loss and over 194,000 points. It was reported that the Bor legion was ordered to take the weekend off and report to duty Monday. One can only hope the Bors are strong enough to bounce back.

Due to recent events the 2 for 1 fril oil sale is over. Apparently the sale was to good to pass up for many pilots and while waiting in line for the oil is when the scan tower was blown to bits.

Krils return home to big celebration for not being killed. They did however suffer damage when pilots not watching where they were going and fell in to the open pit bar-b-que. At first they thought they were under attack again and some began shooting injuring the party goers. More on this when the smoke settles.

Tibs are boasting about the Bor slaughter and have decided they rule the galaxy now and have ordered all pilots to have fun and kick up their heels. Some took this literally and started kicking Ajax pilots again. Yes I said Ajax pilots they are still around. Not heard from but still here. They have a wonderful base fleet for defense but that is it. They are trying new ways to convince the pilots to jump to other sectors but so far it is not working.

Humour? =

That might be my sense of humour that was found, I lost it in Dreadlar and have been searching for it ever since. I thought the Krills might have it and I have been waiting for a ransom note.

LEGION COMMANDER HITS THE ROAD

Things have not been going to well for the Boraxian legion and when the LC announced he would be on part time duty due to work being done on his fril, pilots had mixed feelings but were trying their best to hang around the HW and be patient. Five days went by and the faith of legion was falling. Even though the pilots knew when the LC would be back that did not stop them from voting no confidence and now have a new worry of finding a new LC. The current LC has stated he will not take the job again.

It is only fair that one of the pilots who voted no confidence step up and take the job. You know who you are so come forward and fill the leadership position. Maybe after you have had a sample of what the job demands you won’t be so quick to cast that no vote.

If there is any hope of winning this war we must act now. Post your names on the BB so pilots know who to vote for.

PLAYING POSSUM WORKED SO FAR

The Boraxian legion has been pretending to be dead for the past five days while the LC was away. It is quite clear this strategy worked very well because not a single bad guy tried to enter our HW.

Now it is time for the legion to stop playing possum and get back in to battle formation.

Elections are underway but there is no need to sit idle any longer. We must get back in to battle and level up our new bunny fleet. We need all pilots to pull together and help make this legion strong again. So get the word out to all pilots to report for duty and be prepared to lose another ship or two. We have tons of ships so lets see some real fighting now. We have a lot of Tib Kril Jax clutter to clear from the galaxy and we need to do it fast.

Elsewhere in the galaxy

the Tibs have become paranoid and delusional stating that everyone is out to kill them. Of course this is true with one slight detail missing. That would be none of the legions are working together to kill the Tibs but as long as they believe that then it will be easier to move around the galaxy.

Krils are busy with clean up duty from the big party. The amount of trash that was generated at the party proved to be to much for the Krils to handle. They are franticly trying to clear the trash before the council returns and wants answers to where all the ships have gone. While in a drunken stupor many Kril pilots flew their ships into the loading docks and then were mistaken for trash.

Ajax still using the strategy of be very quiet and maybe they won’t see us and kill us. Not sure if this is really working or not but it keeps the coms quiet.

BORAXIAN LEGION ON THE MOVE AGAIN

The elections are over and the new Legion Commander Santiago has something to prove. This is his first try at being LC and could use a little help with the VR duties. Do your part to help the legion and step up to help.

The first battle is already under way for the new LC in Mattas Head sector. The Bors were moving in to position to attack PK when the Krils decided they didn’t want the help of pds in the home sector and made a small jump of 5 ships into the Bor Fleet of 21. The first to fall was Krill Son of Squid but the krils had done some major damage to the only Bor carrier Lycanthrope, forcing the carrier out of the sector. The Bors then came back to kill another Kril cloaker Glynn and put top target Ranthed on the run with amber shields. The battle continues on if you are not there you are missing out on major points and a chance to make history by taken back the power once stolen from the Bor legion.

In other parts of the galaxy the rumor is the Tibs are finishing off the Ajax in a stunning display of bomber leveling tactics. The Tib command had ordered only bomber ships be made forcing the legion to be bomber heavy. The results have been grand they now have 18 bombers of all levels and are on a mission to finish this war before 250 ticks pass. Will they be able to do it? Who do you think will be the next Tibs target?

Read it here first in the Bugle before you die.

Hapiface (Boraxian) Posted - 18 October 2004 9:19 Edit MessageSPECIAL EDITION

This is a special edition to say thanks to the pilots who are doing scrap runs for the Boraxian legion. This is by far the most important part of winning the war and yet it is thankless. These scrap runners are putting their personal gain aside and only thinking of the legion and well being of the home world. The scrap runners are collecting scrap from sectors and hauling it back to Boraxus where they dump it on the planet. All of theses actions the pilot does not receive one single point. They gain no levels earn no points and for the most part go unnoticed until the planet is under attack. Where again they are ask to use their moves not on repairs to earn points but to rather pick up scrap and dump it on the planet. This just goes to show you that all ships no matter what level they may be are very important to the legion. It just maybe a load of level one repairships making the difference to help us win this war. So show your thanks to the scrap runners by making more scrap in sectors closer to the home world. By doing this they don’t have to travel so far and can make more runs. Scrap runners, we thank you keep up the good work.

Get it right the first time read the Bugle.
