WAR!
Hostilities Resumed Following Treaty Violations
Earlier today, Her Majesty the Queen announced the resumption of active military operations against the forces of the other three galactic legions. She said that the government of the Tibran Empire had been pushed beyond acceptability by the repeated unprovoked atrocities committed by the other legions, and that she had ordered High Command to immediately deploy the fleet to the Asteroid Fields to take control of that sector. High Command has issued the necessary orders, and is expected to appoint a new Legion Commander within days.
In accordance with instructions, the Tibran fleet has begun moving towards the Asteroid Fields. Although exact times are being kept secret for operational reasons, the forward units are expected to arrive there within hours. There have been rumours from sources within the military that there was some kind of resource problem that prevented the fleet leaving when first desired, but these have now been resolved.
Civilians in Tibrar greeted the news of the outbreak of fresh unpleasantness with jubilation. One random man said: "What? Newspaper? Stop messing around with pens and go join up!"
IN BRIEF
Canopus West: Arriving Tibran fleet destroys small Ajaxian listening post. It was really just for kicks though - the Ajax never listen to anyone else.
Planet Krilgore: Rearming of Krilgorian fleet rumoured to be going badly. Krilgorian High Command is rumoured to be too busy renovating headquarters to have time for a war right now.

FLEET ENGAGES ENEMY
Epic Battles Reported In The Asteroid Fields and Garen
Over the last few days, the Tibran fleet has seen action in two major battles in the Asteroid Fields and Garen, along with a minor action in Canopus West. The battle in Garen in still ongoing, with sources inside High Command commenting "We're almost there, we just need a few more... who let that bloody reporter in here?" Inside was the operative word there.
Although initially heavily outnumbered and outgunned, the brave Tibran forces have fought determinedly, and have taken advantage of the Ajaxian ineptness to regain parity. Pilot Halzet of Special Operations Command is rumoured to be hatching a plan to bribe Ajaxian pilots with asteroids, and then just firing them at them if the bribes are rejected. Ladbrokes are offering odds of 4/1 on for the pilot to be committed to an asylum as soon as his level 3 ship is destroyed by an enemy - before that he's too valuable.

VICTORY IN GAREN
Ajaxian Fleet On The Run
As you read this, the last Ajaxian units are being hunted down in Garen. The turning point of the battle is believed to have occurred last night, where the tireless action of the Tibran repairers and the indiscipline of the Ajaxian fleet meant that despite shooting at pilot 4orce for several hours while his ship was disabled, the ship survived and 4orce expected to rejoin the fleet after an overhaul.
In contrast, Ajaxian ships were leaving the sector at a rate of knots, and for the first time the numerical advantage swung in favour of the Tibran fleet. Given that our brave boys had been holding their own with a significant disadvantage for two days, this was decisive.
LC VoxDei claimed victory in the battle at 1000 hrs Tibran Standard Time this morning, and praised his Viceroy Darth for keeping our forces in line during his incapacity last night. Other pilots were heard to feel guilty that they hadn't been willing to serve their legion in that capacity when asked. Pilot Lysander was overheard to say "Why would I want to be VR? You get all the headaches and none of the perks.", but we know what he meant.

RACE AGAINST TIME
Can We Kill The Jax Fast Enough?
As this issue goes to press, a Boraxian squadron is emerging above our homeworld. Though our fleet would be well able to deal with the small Boraxian force deployed, our fleet is currently locked in combat with the Ajaxian forces in The Three Suns. There is no question that our forces will subdue the Ajaxians, but the question is over how long it will take. If it takes too long, even a small force could dangerously damage our base.
However, reports from the front lines are encouraging. In the last few minutes, two class three Ajaxian fighter craft have been destroyed, with a class four belonging to Galgaron being forced to flee with heavy damage. Class three Ajaxian pilot Veret is currently under heavy fire as he attempts to repair his power systems. Further enemy losses occurred over the last few hours.
Friendly losses have been minimal compared to those of the Ajax, with class three pilots Clumpstar and TheLuggage both destroyed over the past few hours, and class three repairship Patje sustaining fire but holding firm.
High Command expects our fleet to be able to safely disengage and return to Tibrar some time tomorrow morning, which should be well before the Boraxian strike force has time to do much damage.

A NEW ENEMY
Tibran Forces Engage Boraxians
The Tibran fleet earlier engaged Boraxian forces in Red Sky City, according to a press release from High Command. Having outflanked the Bors and won a skirmish in Orbital last night, our forces pushed on into the Boraxian heartland sector of RSC this morning. Honours are so far even in terms of kills, but several Boraxian ships have been seen withdrawing from the sector with heavy damage in addition to the confirmed destruction of Agamemnon and awa24you.
Lysander, leader of the 3rd Tiny Ticklish Tibrans squadron, had this to say (despite not being present in the battle due to necessary repairs) : "Squadron 3 will do its duty. It will also kill Bors. The fact that its duty is to kill Bors is purely coincidence. God save the Queen!" He then belched loudly, which his press office later attributed to the fine Boraxian he'd eaten for dinner.

"ACE" PILOT VERET DEFECTS
Veret, up until recently one of the ajaxian legion's top pilots, has just sent word that he has gone rouge. On being asked why he was leaving, Veret told reporters that he wanted to be in a legion that was more active. "We only had about five people awake and at their controls every time we needed to fire, and as a result the whole legion just sucked. i mean geez, how else do you think i got to be one of their top pilots?"
Among the myriad questions thrown at Veret was whether the recent loss of his best ship had anything to do with it. "yeah, that was basically the last straw for me", he replied. "of course, you all never would have gotten me if i wasnt having technical difficulties with my ship. have you ever tried to shoot someone while the blue screen of death is staring you in the face?" reporters declined to comment on the benefits of installing a new OS onto his ship computer, as the pilot was still clutching his double-barrelled plasma rifle at the time.

HOSTILITIES RESUME WITH THE JAX!
We have recieved word that early this morning, a large fleet of our heavy fighters and bombers jumped into the Ajaxian home system. Having decimated the first line of defence last night, taking out the level 4 galgaron and clearing Apollo Secotr of all hostiles, the fleet spent the night consolidating their position, or, as one unnamed pilot put it; "Getting some sleep while the reppers work". This statement is currently being investigated as to its truthfulness.
This is perhaps our largest coordinated jump of the campaign so far, a fact that is largely attributed to the Vice-Roy of the fleet offering 'breakfast' incentives to any pilots willing to make the jump. Whether he actually made good on his promises is yet to be established, but it looks doubtful. Meanwhile in Ajaxus, the rightful retribution has begun. Already bombs are falling on many of the main cities, while our brave fighters tear into the pitiful Ajax Defence Fleet with little or no thought for their own safety. Ranking members of the Ajaxian high command are already reported to be fleeing the scene, as one pilot put it; "The damn blue-bellied wusses"
We will keep you up to date with the progress of the fight as intel comes in.
OTHER NEWS
Boraxians hit PK It is believed that the Boraxian fleet, still smarting from the drubbing we gave them, has headed towards Planet Krilgore. However, due to poor communications (they are yellow afterall) they seem to have mislaid parts of their fleet along the way, and so the Krilgorians have managed to stall their initial drive. For now at least.

HERE THERE AND EVERYWHERE
Fleet Maneuvers For Position Following Battle In Karrp
Our forces have recently been moving quickly around the galaxy in response to threatening moves by the opposing legions. Following the fleet action in Moons of Karrp, where we faced the combined forces of the Krils and the Bors (and, technically, the Jax, though since their fleet is nonexistant you couldn't actually tell), our fleet has moved through Dreadlar and Apollo Sector, and is now returning home to flush out the Krilgorian squadron which recently entered the system defence boundary in Tibrar.
Bemoaning the fruitless wanderings, pilot RaZeR was heard speculating about a trip to Tripe. However, his incautious words seem to have earned him a visit from the Tibran Military Police, since when the Daily Tibran returned to him (in hospital) for later comment he looked frightened and refused to comment. When questioned about his apparent injuries, he said he walked into a door, fell down some stairs, and then was savagely beaten by three masked men who told him not to talk to the papers.

TIB LEAD SHRINKS
Bor Point-Whoring Continues During Tib-Kril Stalemate
The Daily Tibran has seen a leaked strategic analysis from High Command which suggests that the Tib military lead, while still being maintained, is shrinking as the Boraxian legion gains cheap experience for its troops by beating on the hapless Ajaxians. Our fleet meanwhile has been stepping carefully around the Krilgorian forces in the Acrador-Aquarious region, and has been unable to close with the enemy in a favourable situation.
Tibran High Command has been racking its collective brain to come up with something to break the deadlock, but so far has been unable to produce anything. Legion Commander VoxDei gave this statement: "Why am I always expected to come up with something? Come up with something yourselves for once. You people need to learn self-reliance." He then stormed away before ordering the execution of a number of Krilgorian POWs, which seemed to improve his mood.

IT'S ALL OVER
PK, Boraxus Destroyed, Final Destruction Of Tibrar Expected Shortly
At approximately 0945 TST this morning, the Krilgorian homeworld was destroyed by the bombing action of our fleet. While this is undeniably a glorious moment, it is tempered by the knowledge that the victory is hollow - there is no possibility of our fleet returning in time to prevent the destruction of our own homeworld.
High command decided on the surprise jump to Dreadlar two days ago, but executed the maneuver too hastily and left a large portion of our fleet scrambling to regain position. While the maneuver was risky in any case, the delay to commencment of full-scale bombing has proven fatal, and the Krilgorian fleet with their Ajaxian has been able to assault our homeworld essentially unopposed, although they have sacrificed their own homeworld to do so.
The misjudged Mexican standoff has left the Ajaxians, pathetic incompetents though they have proven to be, as masters of the galaxy. This situation however is not expected to last long, as it cannot be conceived that such a useless legion will be capable of maintaining order.
While the shields over the offices of the Daily Tibran are currently still holding, the local power grid is under heavy assault. This will be the last edition.
For Tibrar and the Queen
