SCUM's Take on the Beta that made them famous:
Upon young Razor's success as a Mercenary Tibran Bomber Pilot under the guidance of esperandus, Razor finds yet again his service is required. The time is new... the enemies many... Razor sees a new age is upon him and sets forth to bring in some much needed firepower... SCUM.
Although dissimilar, the Pilots of SCUM after some time adapted to their new surroundings quite quickly. Fortunately or Unfortunately depending on the way some may look on things... SCUM has a reputation of doing what they want when they want and with whom they want. The Tibrans who employed SCUM seemed ignorant to fact, and though SCUM was becoming a higher power in the Tibran forces... their obedience wasn't quite there.
After some coaxing from TumNarDok, the SCUM squad did give way and listen to orders... Unfortunately the timing on their part was bad and soon led to their destruction. After some recoup time to get back to their former status and/or higher, Razor and a few other members of SCUM gave some simple advice to the LC, hignfy, about using the scans more cautiously for the Tib "Blob"... the advice leaned more to the side of complaints to some and soon SCUM was being branded as nothing more then some trouble some "Rabble Rousers". The SCUM attempt on Spaghetti failed due to the lack of participants on the Tibs side was just one instance where Razor's orders/ideas were ignored. SCUM was taking much abuse from their "TEAM Mates" yet continued on trying to make the best of it... to show those Tibrans that belittled SCUM, what SCUM was really about.
Then one day... Tibrar was under attack! Although no one said it... everyone felt a shift in power was soon to arise. SCUM acting on it's own... a little disgruntled from the treatment they received was heading around the outer rim on training when an order came through asking for sector domination. So... SCUM set forth to do so...
The question of leadership had risen on the Tibran Bulletin Board. Although higfny seemed to understand many of Razor's ideas and even asked Razor personally if he wanted to be LC, Razor declined. Many seemed unhappy with the way SCUM was running around as it was, and with the lack of respect the Tibrans displayed towards Razor, he didn't think they'd listen to his orders even if they were sound.
SpiderWolve was soon declared LC and during a time when the Tibs needed the Bors the Most... the Bors set forth to attack Ajax... "WHY?", Was the question tossed from SCUM's coms and again "WHY?" was tossed again as they found themselves under attack by Boraxian Pilots on route to Ajax. After a small scuffle leaving SCUM the victors of that minor battle, SCUM soon found themselves bombing Ajax along with the Bors. After some time passed bombing away, SCUM soon found Ajax was nearly destroyed... yet deserted... The Bors pulled out. "WHY??", again this famous question was being tossed about. No warning or reason was given from the Boraxians.
Through SpiderWolve's Destruction and loss of scans, SCUM soon found they now had a NAP with not only the non-helpful Boraxians but also the Ajax. All seemed well for the most part with the Krils retreating. An offence on the Krils planet seemed to be the order of the day. While the Tib forces either licked their wounds back at Tibrar or tried to regroup at Dreadlar, SCUM took the outer rim to get to Planet Krilgore and just as SCUM was at Mattas Head, waiting for their Hyper Drives to warm up, again a band of Boraxians attacked! "NOT AGAIN! Why us? Why now?" after the long battle took place, repairs were soon set into motion, greatly slowing SCUM down from there target. With the repairs finished, SCUM soon jumped into Planet Krilgore, and surprisingly enough they were one of the First Tibran ships to arrive on the scene.
The attacks on Krilgore were long and vicious, and seemed to take even longer seeing the home of their employers being destroyed before their eyes... The Krilgorians attacked AGAIN! Throwing caution to the wind, even the SCUM fighters made strafing attacks on the planet itself... seeing the Tibran forces in Dreadlar, and the Boraxian fleet in Krilgore encouraged the SCUM barrage even more... even though the Ajax forces seemed quite silent.
Alarms and sirens were heard to draw notice that indeed the destruction of their employer's planet had happened. Now with their wages lost SCUM attacked one more time, determined to make the Krils pay... for their loss of pay! Cammaedros noticed soon after that several Kril ships were on route to defend Planet Krilgore... minutes soon felt like hours as SCUM was taking damage and desperately waiting for their Hyper Drives to charge when over Kenny's coms a distinct muffled sound was heard before his ship was no more. SCUM took that and the laser fire as a sign, and as soon as they could, hypered to Dreadlar! Upon SCUM's arrival to Dreadlar, they saw they were not the only Tibrans there. Many many numbers of Tibs were gathered at Dreadlar even though Planet Krilgore was still intact. "What the...? What are all these guys STILL doing here? I don't remember seeing even half of them in PK while we were there!" Razor muttered to HITMAN.
Hours passed on, as Razor is pointed to the "Legion News" by HITMAN, announcing not only has PK been destroyed, but also Razor has lost his Viceroy position due to Cowardess. "WHAT the...? Due to Cowardess? Would they rather me lose my position due to Death? What's wrong with this picture? If even half these LAZY Tibs here were in PK it would've been destroyed a while back.... even WITH our delays with the Bors!"
Razor enabled his Holo-Imager in Tara's bar and soon found himself JUST in Time for his own Boraxian Court Martial Trial with Broomfondle as the Prosecution. The Charges against him seemed serious, and in attendance were friend and foe alike... All expressions seemed serious and grim. Razor gulped in fear and soon he was accompanied by HITMAN.... who seemed none too happy to see his friend in trouble. Apparently through SCUM's escape, 5 Boraxians close to getting their shinny new cruisers were destroyed. This and the lack of warning of SCUM's retreat to the Bors seemed to be the main topic. HITMAN, although a little crass, gave the reasons for the departure yet fell upon deaf ears, as all eyes looked towards Razor for a more "Civil" and "Pleasing" Answer. Time seemed to Tick on as Razor tried to formulate his explanation carefully. "First of all... the Krils, I don't think are very stupid. They would want to get rid of the most High-level bombers as quickly as possible. Considering Boraxians have a planet in which they can come back too... Destroying the Tibs who have no home would seemed like the ideal move. Second, the Tibs, and Bors have a NAP ... not an Alliance. It's up to us to help you or not... we're not bound to helping the Bors... besides... We were under fire from Bors far more then the Krils and Ajax put together. Third, if the Bors REALLY did want SCUM's help... they certainly wouldn't have fired on us when we were trying to reach here... We were slowed a GREAT deal. Fourth, apparently not ALL Tibs that grouped up in Dreadlar was in PK helping out... PK would've been long gone if they did go. Fifth and Final... I DID give some notice... although if my LC thought it was important enough to announce or not... or just didn't notice, is not my fault."
Things seemed forgiven... but not wanting to take the risk or some sore Bors... SCUM retreated to Tibrar for some much needed Repairs and relaxation. With the addition of Spiderwolve joining SCUM, SCUM soon disbanded not wanting to be found... and most flew off to "Chart" The "UnCharted Sector".
Razor having lost his way... flying pretty much blind and dead in space turned on his Holo-Imager to Tara's Bar. His fond memories of Morlock and others almost compelling him to Tara's. Razor was content with just being in Tara's... where in reality he was sitting a drift in space... Until one day... Mother... a Boraxian who once served with Razor, turned on him... Mother had lost respect for Razor as a Pilot and was apparently upset about SCUM retreating. Razor left to the conference room where he plotted and plotted... Britnoth soon showed up being sick of Mother's words and Razor announced his half hatched plan. Reunited with some of his SCUM friends... and hearing their words, Razor was fueled even more. Together with ChiliDog, Me3.14, and Memephisbelle... his plan seemed to really have a chance... the plan?
