I'm a very strategic player and love to use tactics over brute force, which *usually* works :P No records for earlier games so I'll start at Beta 22.
Beta 22

- Best Ship: Cruiser Carrier
- Awards: First to {V}, 2nd in deaths, top 20 ATT and total score, Rogue Carrier
I joined the game around tick 20 and participated in the roids battle under Boris. We focused on drawing fire to enemies rather than getting kills ourselves, which seemed to work and left us in control of the roids. I suicided to try a repper for the first time ever.
Nobody really wanted to LC at this point, and since Scartissue was the most active person not openly denying the position he got the job.
What followed was the usual skirmishes with no legion getting the definite lead until the ticks racked up to 100.
By this time I had devised my strategy for the game and campaigned for LC which I received about the mid 100s. My cabinet of VRs/officers was Boris, Redken, Scartissue, MrVed, Borgcube, Pikey, Leopard, Ailill, Lisch and a few others(Sorry!)
We pulled back to 81103 and the Tibs gave chase into one of the most game changing battles. Through sheer force of will, the Boraxians layed waved after wave into the Tibran ranks, destroying a few of their ships and putting the Bors slightly ahead on Points.
The Tibs, under their crazy LC Zypher retreated and asked us to fight the Jax while they fight the weakened/unfortunate Krils. This was denied, and while they were fighting in SS we sent our bombers to Tibrar to level while 1/2 the fighters moved to TMC to block the any Tib retreat and the rest with the reppers stayed in MoK, my fav sector.
The Jax were going to assist us in Tibrar, but moved on Boraxus instead, causing a change of plans. We swept the OR taking some tibs with us and drove the stragglers from Boraxus. We tried to pursue, but the tibs came back and we were forced to regroup in Boraxus and prepare for the inevitable. By this point we were in the lead with 4 carriers and used them strategically throughout the battles to lose barely any ships.
The battle of Boraxus was brief but complicated. There were two legions against one, but the Bors had the advantage of home ground and a well thought out tactic. They attacked at sunrise. Through the use of evil politics I was able to get the Krils to attack Tibrar and create a void of mistrust between the Tibs and the Jax which ultimately made the tibs change fallback. After some more focused fire, the enemy started to pull out. The tibs had a head start to the roids so we attacked the Jax stragglers in 81103. After making another big kill, I promised to leave the Jax alone if they cooperated and to help the Krils in Tibrar, then planned the final move.
- drama* (I hate drama)
The orders were given to finish off the weakened Tibs and effectively win the game, but Scartissue and his lackeys disagreed and overrode the orders. From then I could tell they wouldn't follow any more orders I gave, so I resigned as LC and went rogue to earn the 'Rogue Carrier' award, closely followed by Ailill who followed my sentiments. Scars stupidity ended up with all 3 legions turning on the bors. The tibs for vengeance, the Jax and Krils because Scar broke the respective promises. The bors home base was destroyed and the Krils won by default. I was mostly inactive after roguing so there isn't much small detail to add.
- end drama*
I had some real good fun, and was blessed with some of the best TVS players in my legion. Good game to everyone!
