I started about a month into Beta 6 as a Jax in my shiny new Flight on Independence. Unsure of what to do first, I decided to hyper to Apollo. Luckily (or unluckily) for me, this happened to be the front of a Jax-Bor battle. Eager for points I fired early and fast. But seeing as how we were outnumbered and outgunned, the Jax began to pull out before the order was officially given by the LC. Being the fool-hardy rookie I was, I scorned others for retreating before LC Platao gave the order, and was then subsequently destroyed after finding my level 2 ship at the top of the Jax rankings in Apollo. The rest of the beta pretty much went down hill from there. I kept trying out the different fighters and bombers until it came time to abandon out home world. Though for the rest of the beta many of my Jax comrades found new homes, I stayed a Jax until (nearly) the bitter end, when I finally reached 75000 but had no home to trade for a cruiser. I enjoyed a brief stint as VC, but when there were fewer than ten of us left, we were easy pickings. I respawned as a Kril and went to work. Unfortunately this late in the game there was little left to do, seeing as how most of the top 50 were in cruisers anyway :)

In Beta 7 I began as a Kril and tried my hand at the Black Knight. Don't remember much here except everywhere I went there was always a higher level Bor waiting. I stayed a Kril long after the home world was gone, leaving me wandering the galaxy in a level 5 rep ship.

Beta 8 was a much more successful run, despite being an uphill battle most of the time. As a Bor (whom I at first despised for reasons in the last two betas) I quickly moved up the ranks. After an early bunny death in the Roids I was more careful in my movements and soon found myself among the higher ranking Bors, just behind Unicorn (the finest LC I have ever served with). In my Fanged Fighter I became the first fighter of the beta to nab a cruiser. Not a big deal to others, but it excited me seeing as how I missed that chance in the last two games. Unfortunately with only Dream, Xin, Lapoor and a few others, cruisers and carriers were hard to come by. I was later destroyed a few weeks after cracking into the top ten.

The start of Beta 9 was a blur, I don’t even remember what legion I started on. The only thing I remember was that as a Bor, by the time our ST went out, I found myself voted in as LC. It was near the end of the game, and seeing as how we had little chance of winning, I ordered an all out assault of Planet Krilgore. Unfortunately it was all in vain seeing as how the Kril fleet was composed mainly of cruisers.

Beta 10 was a short one, and I think my interest in the game began to wane. I must’ve made an impression on somebody though since at the start of Beta 11, someone engineered the vote and told everyone to vote for me. So as the Tib LC for the first hundred or so ticks our legion was at the right place at the right time. Our score shot up after chasing around the weakest legions. Then came vacation, and I retired as LC and handed the position over. Good thing too, since right after we got caught moving between different legions and our ranks dwindled fast. Luckily I hit vacation mode before anyone could blame me.
